Could you be Told by an Idiot’s next Associate Company?

We are offering to support x1 Emerging Theatre Company financially and creatively with an R&D week exploring a comedic response to the Climate Emergency.

Following the R&D, Told by an Idiot will submit an Arts Council Touring Grant and (if successful), will produce and manage a tour of the production in Feb/March 2025 as part of Told by an Idiot’s core programme of work.

This is the chance to be mentored by Artistic Director Paul Hunter and work closely with the wider Told by an Idiot team, create an exciting, new show in response to the climate crisis, and to take a risk, knowing that whatever happens, no one has ever told this story before.

To find out more and to apply head to https://bit.ly/3wmPeN2

You have until 4th March - so get applying folks!

We can’t wait to receive your applications!

It was a couple I was marrying that - gladly - introduced me to the expansive wonders of bell hooks / my heart sings yes! Yes. Thank you for your work.

If you have also been slow to this beautiful hopeful necessary relentlessly loving party then please do get a hold in your local library. And let’s love ❤️

See this raw, open hearted new show from Barrowland Ballet at Tramway on 9 March

It was a year to forget, but instead Natasha and Jude decided to make it into a show. Using words, dance and song these two uncompromising performers offer us an alternative love story. Raw, open hearted and brutally honest, pulling the shadows into the spotlight, they search for the form into which their stories might fit.
A world premiere in partnership with Barrowland Ballet, supported by Creative Scotland and The Work Room.
