20 years ago, I kick-started my floristry career with the Business of Floristry course . Here I am (5th from the left) with my classmates and Judith herself.

Like many, floristry wasn't my first career. I have absolutely no regrets leaving the commercial world behind to becoming my own boss.

I'm not sure where the time has gone, but I've truly loved my journey and have met so many talented people along the way.

Here's to the next 20 🥂.

I wanted to test the theory of putting a copper penny in the water with Tulips to encourage them to stay upright and hey presto it works.

These flowers were left over from Mothering Sunday bouquets. Included was a Tulip called Chica Dura. It's grown and opened to be an absolute stunner and with the help of a copper penny in the water, stayed rigid.

Today I spent a glorious couple of hours with Georgia who guided us through the tips and tricks for an eco-friendly 'bowl of flowers'.

Back in 2004 when I started my floristry career 'roundy-moundy' arrangements were all the rage. Fast forward to today, airy more natural designs are what's in demand.

I'm so pleased with the end result and loving the 'inny-outy' design!

Lucky me, I got to lend Ellie a helping hand with one element (foiling) of her current project.

Ellie has been commissioned by to create 1000 Fritillaria flowers from glass. These will be displayed in the grounds of from 26th April until 3rd May. The glass flowers will sold at the end of the display to raise funds, please visit www.forestholmhospice/30years.

I've lived in Hassocks for 20 years, I'm ashamed to say that today was the first time I've visited Pembury House Snowdrop display in Clayton.

A truly beautiful garden with lots of reminders that Spring is well on it's way.

Joining me today were my local flowery friends Bryony and Bea . A great opportunity to catch-up and eat cake.
