My Story...
Down by the river florals is run by me, Lisa Marie Grigsby, a floral designer based in Falmouth, Cornwall.
With a background in lifestyle photography and styling for Cornish artists and brands, my love of flowers kept growing leading me to train at the renowned Tallulah Rose Flower School in Bath and onto start hosting my first seasonal workshops. My interwoven skills provide a unique creative flair with intentional use of foliage and textures reminiscent of a childhood spent in the English countryside and an affinity with the Cornish coastline.
I use seasonal and local blooms wherever possible as well as providing a focus on being foam and plastic free. To me, sustainable practice really matters and coupled with an organic and natural approach to styling, I aim for my designs to encompass a mindful and honest ethos.
I often incorporate foraged hedgerow elements and wildflowers and grasses to provide elegant, natural finishing touches and to create unique floral designs individual to the needs of the people I work with. My approach is very personal and I enjoy getting to know my couples and clients, holding space for your beautiful ideas to come to life.
