Class of ‘24 is dismissed!

My little ladies had their final day at junior school yesterday 🥲. It was both sad & emotional but their little class had a wonderful send off from all the teachers and pupils at St Patricks.

I made the 🌹🤍🌿 for the school and its fabulous headmistress as its made in the school colours. The 🌼🌿🌸 one was made for their wonderful teacher who has really helped bring one of my daughters out of her shell.

The lovely teachers and staff at their little school were so welcoming when they arrived almost 4 years ago and theyve made some wonderful friendships that will hopefully last a lifetime 🤍 x

Ive made this for my lovely friend and ex boss Claire Chambers from Chambers Estate & Letting Agents back in my home village of Water Orton.

Last week she requested if any businesses could donate something as a raffle prize at this years Water Orton Carnival 🎪

All the money from the proceeds of the raffle are being donated to Birmingham Dogs Home 🐶 🤎

I absolutely love dogs so couldnt not offer up my services.

Such a worthy charity and so lovely of claire to do this for them. 🤍🐶

The gorgeous Sarah from Aesthetics by Sarah commissioned this for a wall in her clinic in Milnthorpe.

Well my little break extended a little longer than expected 😊. Its been lovely having some time away from flowers but im looking forward to making beautiful wreaths and arrangements again!

Heres a gorgeous arrangement that i made for an old mate for his dear Aunt’s birthday. He sent me photos of colours and flowers she likes and asked me to make her something special to show how much he loves and appreciates her.

Im so happy to report she loved it and was thrilled with his thoughtful gift.

Hi there

Just thought id check in and say hello as its been a while.

Ill be back in my workshop properly next week as my bedroom is almost finished. Finally finished the painting today and my carpet is going down on wednesday 🥳. Were currently sleeping on a mattress on the floor so i cant tell you how much im looking forward to finally sleeping in my bed again!

New York was everything i dreamed it would be and more ❤️. Incredible experience and memories made to last a lifetime. Our little ladies were incredible and hardly moaned despite us walking 51 miles in 4.5 days. We saw so much but it wasnt enough and i cant wait to return one day.

Morning everyone

Just wanted to let you all know that i’m having an extended holiday and wont be available for the next few weeks.

Our bedroom is being refurbed, new wardrobes are in (Hammonds - love them!) but i now have the arduous and thankless task of painting the ceiling, walls and skirtings before decorator can hang wallpaper and new carpets can be laid which is happening later this month. Feel free to follow our progress on instagram escaping_to_the_country

Were also going on a family holiday to New York next weekend so obviously making wreaths isnt my priority right now. However ill be back soon with some lovely Summer creations.

If anyone has visited NYC id love to hear your must things to see/do, especially if you have visited with children. Excited doesnt even come close 🥳🗽🇺🇸

Heres a lovely floral arrangement i finished earlier today.

I was requested to make something with pale blue shades, with some lillies and hydrangeas included as these reminded my lovely customer of her beloved Grandma.

Another blue toned beauty that ill be sad to see go as she fits in so well in my living room 😊.

I hope youre all having a wonderful Easter, my afternoon has been mostly spent painting my bedroom skirting boards 😩.

Good morning

I made this blue beauty for my lovely friend Liz as a birthday gift. She’s had gorgeous new windows and front door so she needed a new wreath to go on it!

Personally i was a bit gutted to hand it over as it looked rather nice hanging on my sideboard in my lounge 😁. However if you scroll through the pics I think youll agree it does look lovely on her door.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Mine is being spent sorting 3 wardrobes full of clothes, shoes and handbags. dismantling said wardrobes and relocating all our bedroom furniture ready for new wardrobes to be fitted next week. I may have to have a few cheeky glasses of prosecco to help me through the pain of it - wish me luck!

Seeing as its International Womens Day this post is dedicated to the most important (little) ladies in my life…..my daughters - Wren Beatrix and Kitty Clementine.

I hope they grow up to be strong, empowered women who know the power of their voice and how to use it wisely.

They already know their own minds and arent afraid of telling me, i need to remember to nurture this side of their nature and not try to beat it out of them no matter how much i want to (need to work on that bit though 😂).

Also a shout out to all the amazing women in my life whom ive met and known in my almost 50 years - I l💗ve you!
