SAVE IKLECTIK - STOP THE EVICTION !!
Please help out in any way listed below. Over the last 8 years Iklectik has hosted many amazing gigs, musicians, performers. The Horse Improvised Music Club is very grateful to Iklectic for supporting us with many concerts and festivals over the last 8 years.
Unfortunately now, IKLECTIK will be facing eviction from its current location by the end of this year.
This decision came quickly after the Save Waterloo Paradise campaign mobilised nearly 50,000 supporters and persuaded Michael Gove to halt the development project, something they have been campaigning for over this last year. The public stance against the controversial plans has resulted in this punitive action against both IKLECTIK and the other 20 small businesses here at Old Paradise Yard. Currently, despite not yet having permission for the full redevelopment, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Foundation are refusing to extend Eat Work Art’s [site leaseholder] lease. The Horse Improvised Music Club thanks Iklectik for hosting many of our gigs over the last 8 years !

Hear Me Out run music workshops in UK immigration detention centres. We also now have a band – the artists met in detention centres and this is how the band was formed. The band members are from all over the world and their music is a fusion of different musical traditions – from reggae, to gospel, and rock.
The Hear Me Out Band are playing their third gig next week (Wednesday 25th January at The Amersham Arms in south London). The evening will also include new music made by people currently in asylum hotels in London, and music videos created by young people to accompany tracks recorded in immigration detention.
Come along and celebrate the voices and stories of people seeking asylum in the UK. Please share on social media.
Tickets are available via Eventbrite and are ‘pay what you can’, so that everyone is able to attend.
