Thursday Thank You! Lovely to receive this great testimonial from one of my lovely clients from last year! This was one of my favourite weddings from last year and a fabulous couple who had a beautiful garden party.

Happy Friday all!! It’s been a while and this has been me working on lots of proposals and upcoming weddings.

Here I am at the gorgeous - such a fabulous location for a spot of work/photo shoot or just a general stay somewhere beautiful. Definitely check them out for somewhere fun to stay by the seaside & where else is there a fabulous seashell bed opposite the stunning Margate beach!

I’ve been getting a few enquiries for last minute on the day co-ordination for this year which is amazing but sadly any remaining slots are filling up fast (here’s looking at you Winter Weddings).

I still have some availability for 2023 though so if you’re still on the fence about getting some help for the day do get in touch to see how I might be able to help.

I’ve been so slack on here lately, busy busy behind the scenes working on upcoming weddings and preparing for a much needed trip to Jamaica! I’ll be sharing more from that soon but before that I wanted to share this awesome place from a paradise closer to home.

A while back I was lucky enough to spend some time at the awesome - how cool is that shell bed?
is perfect for a honeymoon stay, a weekend away or anything where you fancy playing mermaid for the night. I’m definitely recommending this to my wedding couples considering a wedding by the waves in Margate!

Happy Sunday! It’s been so lovely seeing the sun shining and I hope everyone has been enjoying the weekend.

I know I’ve been totally slack on here but sucker busy behind the scenes and I’ve just booked a trip to Jamaica which I’m super excited for.

It’s got me thinking about where to go and what to do???

No Commission Here ❤️

This is definitely something worth thinking about and discussing with your wedding planner.

Did you know that some wedding planners will charge you a fee to plan your wedding and accept commission or kickbacks from venues and suppliers on top of the fee? In many cases the suppliers will add 10% on top of their fee to cover the commission paid to the planner, which essentially means you could end up paying more for your wedding than is necessary. Do make sure you check with your planner whether they accept commission/kickbacks from suppliers.

I can guarantee that Waves Weddings and Events operates a "No Commission" here policy.

As a very proud member of the UKAWP - Wedding Businesses] I ensure Waves adheres to their code of business ethics and does not accept commission from suppliers. They believe in a transparent and honest pricing system, as do I. You can rest assured when I recommend a supplier for your wedding or event it is because I trust them wholeheartedly. I also take my clients trust seriously and so, I promise to always act with integrity and honesty, respecting your wedding budget at all times.

Getting to know you…..or me! 🤣

It’s a New Year and I’ve had quite a few new followers (which I am super grateful for 🥰) so thought I’d better do a new introduction post, as it’s been a while.

I’m Bex, creator of Waves Weddings and Events.

I’m a Wedding and Events planner based in Margate, Kent and I offer a relaxed yet seamless style of planning for cool and casual couples looking for an intimate, beautiful, and relaxed occasion.

I cover Margate and surrounding Kent areas and also further afield in stunning locations such as Jamaica (which I think of as my second or “Soul’s” home).

I’ve been passionate about events ever since I started out in my career, and whilst I offer a relaxed style of planning, I am also highly experienced, extremely organised, and have an acute eye for detail. I have a first class degree in event management and over fifteen years of experience working in the industry, co-ordinating a huge range of events from high profile parties to Weddings and Corporate Events.
