We hope everyone who attended Day Fever Uk yesterday at The Scala is enjoying a well-deserved, chilled-out Sunday after all the shenanigans! 🎉

It was another magical Merthyr event, and we can't wait to do it again. The atmosphere was electric from start to finish ⚡✨.

This event was extra special for us as we navigate a challenging 2024. Our friend Jonathan Owen and the incredible team at DayFever donated all ticket sales to the venue! We are deeply grateful for Jonny’s heartfelt generosity and his love for our town. 💖

Special thanks to Katie Owen, Mollie, and Sean Jay for bringing amazing tunes and energy. 🎶🔥 We hope to see you all back soon!

💥Day Fever - Support The Scala 💥

Day Fever Uk is the biggest daytime clubbing event in the UK. It’s been featured in the media constantly this year. Last weekend it played to 6 thousand people in sold out gigs in London, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds and Sheffield.

Its founder member is Merthyr boy Jonathan Owen. He brought this incredible event to the Scala, and an ecstatic home town audience, this March. Everyone who came said it was the best day they had had out in years. Jonny is a passionate supporter of the arts in Merthyr and wants to see venues like The Scala thrive.

We are delighted to announce that he is coming back to DJ on Saturday June the 15th. He is doing this for nothing and donating all the ticket sales to the venue. As a venue we have to say times are tough during the current cost of living crisis.

The support from Jonny, and hopefully the people that want to come, is so important for us to survive and is hugely appreciated.
