Welcome to Oxfringe 2013
Oxfringe 2013 will run from Friday 24 May to Sunday 9 June and we will be open very soon for show registrations. In the meantime, you can get one step ahead of the game by finding yourself a venue – see ‘Venues for hire’ on our website to find out about venues who are on board so far. More venues will be added soon and you are free to use an Oxford venue not listed there.
Last year’s festival was a great success, with an incredible and innovative season of shows. A big thanks to all of our talented and creative performers and to everyone at our participating venues, who worked hard behind the scenes to stage the shows. Many thanks to Fringe Report, Fringe Guru, Oxford Theatre Review, Daily Info and the Oxford Times and Mail who between them reviewed the vast majority of shows in this year’s programme. See our News & Blog and Reviews pages on the website for the low down. Thanks to BBC Oxford who gave airspace to Oxfringe to help get the message out. Finally thanks to all our volunteers, our generous sponsor Brakspear and our funders, the Oxfordshire Community Fund, The Doris Field Trust and St John’s College, without whom none of this would have been possible.

Oxfringe is not for profit and is run for the prime purpose of promoting upcoming artists who are not yet established and to provide arts entertainment for the benefit of the community of Oxford and for audiences from further afield. Its mission is to provide an open access multi-genre fringe festival for Oxford, including comedy, drama, music of all kinds, literary fringe and mixed genre events, to support new and emerging talent across the arts. Oxfringe organises a small number of headline shows, performer preview opportunities and free community events. Oxfringe would like to encourage experienced venue management companies to run venues during our festival – if you are interested in getting involved, please contact us.
