Hire our stalls for your events - we set up and take down leaving you to run

Bute Stall & Event Hire

We are a market stall and event equipment hire community project based on Bute. The profits from the hire and events will go to Project Play Park to maintain and develop our play parks and leisure facilities on Bute. We will also invest in growing our market and event infrastructure

The History of the project

The equipment for the events company came from the lottery Awards for All fund in 2016 where we got funded to build a pop up festival in a box - we bought stalls and built a side show of funfair stalls and games that could be used for the local community to run events and fundraise for their projects at a local level thus creating community engagement at all levels and partnership working with the common aim of a community project for all. We have just received (2021) money from Awards for all - to up grade our tarps and allowing us some time to develop a strong infrastructure to set up paid grounds staff to manage the setting up and management of each event with an admin hire person paid to oversee all paperwork and bookings. The aim is to set up a strong events hire company on Bute where anyone can hire for an event.

The youth events team took a party to the town with the Highland and Irish dancers today to put on a show for the Fred Olsen Cruise that visited our shores.

Face painting, bubbles, costume fun, lots of sefis and laughs.

Bute showed off its dancing and fun today all by the youngsters in our community.

Nice one all of you who put on a show 😊 we will post all your dancing soon, they will take a while to update 😊

We have set up our fun fair exhibition at the bank of ideas on Rothesay.

All these items are owned by the community for running fairs and supporting events in the town. Thank you to the bike shed for printing all the banners, the colours are excellent.

For Bute gave us money for face painting so we will be practicing so we can have a face painting stall at an event. Thank you for that.

And thank you the bank of ideas for letting us put up our exhibition of fun fair bute.

Are we busy!!

We like staying busy... more boards being painted for the sides of our stalls.

These help keep weight on the stalls when it's a bit windy and give us many options in our stall set ups.

So lots of painting going on AND our NEW banners are here that have been made by the fantastic team at BUTE signs who have also come on board to help sponsor our project with help towards our banner costs! Can not thank them enough!! We are excited to get the signs up at our next event 😁

And it is exciting that Bute now has its own wee side show funfair for all to use 😁
