I haven’t done this in so long and I didn’t realise how much I’d missed it ❤️ I couldn’t sleep ( as always 🙄 work brain constantly going) so I got up at 4am and drove here for the sunrise , just been sat here watching the seals playing with each other and fishing for breakfast , not a breath of wind , nor a cloud in the sky and it has just been perfect ❤️ happy Saturday everyone 😊 got some beauties to show you later !

I’ve had an absolute tonne of enquiries for portrait sessions this year but I’ve been so busy with weddings I’ve just not had the time ! BUT my wedding season is coming to an end so I’ll have bags more free time at last ❤️
My sessions are outdoor only but I’m happy to travel anywhere! So if you have a place that’s maybe important to your family, we can go there and create some memories that last forever ! ( small extra travel costs apply)
I can provide a digital only package where you get the images on a usb for you to print and share with family or I can offer framed poster prints or canvases 😊

I was in Pately bridge today for a few hours taking a well earned break from editing 🙂
There was a cool little place nearby called the coldstones cut which is yorkshires biggest and highest public artwork, for the first time in a long time, I didn’t have a camera with me so I didn’t get any photos but I had my smart glasses on and snapped a photo of this interesting giant bicycle sculpture that was there 😊
Thought you might appreciate it !
Think I’m gonna pop back soon at sunset with my drone and get a shot of the artwork 😊

Wow 😑 Ive seen this happen a lot the last few weeks.

Back story , another photographer has been teaching other photographers that if you report a competitor’s business as not being open to the public or non existent, google removes it , he does that to basically remove his competitors and get to the top of the listings on google !
Today someone’s done it to me 🙄 it’s sad because I’ve always been a community over competition guy , I’ve helped fellow photographers get work , given advice and help to get to where they want to be…. All for free , I’ve never charged a dime ever to any professionals who’ve asked for help or secrets.
It’s a sad world where people would rather do things like this rather than just to work hard and be better with their career growth 😑
I’ve appealed but I’m not getting my hopes up
So who ever did this , I hope you step on Lego today

“Another place” by Sir Antony Gormley consists of 100 cast-iron, life-size figures spread out along three kilometres of the foreshore, stretching almost one kilometre out to sea.

According to Antony Gormley, Another Place harnesses the ebb and flow of the tide to explore man's relationship with nature. He explains: The seaside is a good place to do this. Here time is tested by tide, architecture by the elements and the prevalence of sky seems to question the earth's substance. In this work human life is tested against planetary time. This sculpture exposes to light and time the nakedness of a particular and peculiar body. It is no hero, no ideal, just the industrially reproduced body of a middle-aged man trying to remain standing and trying to breathe, facing a horizon busy with ships moving materials and manufactured things around the planet.

“The best camera is the one that's with you”

It’s crazy how far smartphone cameras have come in the last few years ! I’m constantly taking photos with my phone when I’m walking Edward or out on my travels and I always forget about them 😅 So here’s a shot I got this evening , 1 of the 8936 photos I’ve taken with my iPhone and never showed anyone 😊 Ok, granted I know how to edit them to make them look all posh but it’s still pretty amazing how far they’ve come with technology !

Just a quick thankyou post 😊 Facebook has started to pay me for my posts which is cool ! I get paid on my likes, comments and shares, okay it’s not much 😅 I get a few quid per post on average but thanks to you guys liking and commenting etc I’ve made enough this month to cover a couple of my subscriptions! It’s a massive help as my running costs are getting higher and higher every year 🙄
So thankyou 🙂 it really helps ! And I’m super grateful of whatever engagement I get on here ❤️

Now if I can just get a few million likes on this post I can buy my dream camera and a boat 👀😅

Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it”

When doing street/city photography I like to try and capture those little things that we often unintentionally ignore, I saw so many people staring down at their phones just walking through the flock of pigeons that was nibbling at scraps like they were just bits of paper blowing in the wind , I like to look for those little leaks of light that glow through the trees , the interesting mix of old buildings with the new ones 🙂 it’s all there for us to appreciate, I think we just forget to look up sometimes ☺️

It’s good to be teaching again ! 😊

Kym is a total novice when it comes to photography but has been super keen to try it, she’d never really even held a proper camera until today! We spent 3 and a bit hours in Leeds, starting with a coffee while we talked about settings and the technical aspects, then we headed out for a walk to grab some shots of the city 😊 The main goal for today was just getting a feel for things , how to hold the camera , which buttons do what and what happens when you press them etc 😊

Considering this was her first time with a camera I’m really chuffed with her results! I’d be happy to post some of these as my own 😁 we ended the day with an espresso martini in a cool little bar while we talked about how everything went.

Hey guys 😊 just wondering if you can help me out by answering a question 🙏 This year has been my hardest to grow EVER and I’ve managed 7 net followers in 90 days 😅, I know I’ve not posted as much but I’ve just been super busy it’s been the last thing on my mind 😅

But what I wanted to know was, WHY do YOU follow me ?
It would just help me get a better idea of what most people want to see so I can work on that 😊 whether it’s my landscapes you enjoy or my weddings, I’d really appreciate if you’d let me know in the comments ❤️

Soon as the drone comes out at a wedding there’s always at least one kid who asks “ Rob can I see the drone ?” And the answer will always be YES 😊

I’m lucky to have a lot of cool gear that some people have never seen, so if there’s time a bit later in the day I’ll always happily sit down with the kids and we can talk about any of my equipment and they can see how everything works 😊

You never know what you could inspire a child to be if you just give them 5 minutes of your time to share a bit of your world, so that’s something I will always find the time to do

For anyone who missed the Northern lights last night , it’s highly likely you’ll see them again tonight 😊
Here’s an app I use which should notify you how likely you are to see them where you are , I believe it’s available on both Apple iOS and Android !

Tips for seeing them with your phone :
Turn off as many lights as possible if you’re at home in the garden

You’ll get the best results by using night mode or pro mode on your phone ( set it to around 10s )

You’ll need to keep your phone as still as possible to get the best and sharpest results so if you haven’t got a phone holder/tripod , prop it up on a cushion or a stack of books , anything you can that’ll keep it steady 😊

A 10 second timer helps you get a steady shot too as you can press to take the photo then prop it up against your cushion

The wide lens (0.5x) is great if you have one but it’s likely you’ll get the best quality from your standard 1x lens

Important one 😂…. Wipe your phones camera lens ! Greasy lenses will give you a rubbish result ❤️

Been taking a little break the past week to spend some quality time with my family after a crazy busy summer 🙂 I don’t usually post my personal adventures here but I upgraded my phone this week and wanted to test the camera out 😌 The video on the iPhone 14 Pro Max is surprisingly good !
