The Officers of the Friends have made an Executive decision to purchase two spaces on the forthcoming Sam Lane Workshop and award them to two 'Rising Stars of Dysynni Dogs' in recognition of their hard work, not only in training their dog(s) and making substantial progress but also their commitment and support to The Friends by the help they give at club shows by setting up the equipment, scribing, judging, raising jumps, putting equipment away, helping and encouraging newcomers to club shows etc.

They also are excellent representatives of Dysynni Dogs and The Friends at the shows they compete in across the country raising both profiles in the Dog Agility World.

This 'Rising Stars award may become an annual award that varies each year but this year's recipients are Rachel Davies and Brenin and Jemma Barratt and Berwyn who will receive the places on the Sam Lane Workshop.

Well deserved and congratulations to you both. 👏👏👏👏

If you have ever fancied having a go at Agility this one is for you, we have 6 spaces available this Sunday on an Agility taster session.
The first 6 people to DM the page will receive a spot but please read the following to make sure everything suits you and your dog.

💥 Time 12.30pm
💥 Group session, you dog must be happy to be around other dogs.
💥 Dogs must be over 10 months to attend
💥 Handlers must be over 16 years of age or accompanied by an adult.

First evening of many training on the new equipment at Aberystwyth Dog Agility Club a big thank you to the Friends for helping both financially & logistically to allow this wonderful grass roots agility club to grow in our local area & to provide both fun, exercise & mental well being for dogs & their human partners.

These lovely Christmas baubles, specially designed for the Friends, are available to buy at £4.00 for one and £7.50 for two.
Money raised from the sale of these delightful baubles will go towards agility, scent or Hoopers equipment or essentials that are needed to further enhance what is available to us as members of the Friends.
Buy one or two for yourself or as a gift for someone else.
If you wish to buy any please respond in the comments box and I'll send you a personal message.
Baubles will be in sale at the Christmas Club Show on Saturday 17th December.

I hope you have had a good summer. Please find attached the Summer Newsletter that provides information as to what The Friends of Dysynni Dogs have been doing to promote, develop, improve, support and compete for Dysynni Dogs and participate and support local communities.

I hope you enjoy reading it, hopefully there will be a Winter Newsletter as the Committee of the Friends of Dysynni Dog believe it is important to keep the membership fully informed.

Thanks to National Lottery Funding Y Ffrindiau Dysynni Dogs The Friends were able to purchase essential equipment to launch Hoopers through three workshops throughout the day on Saturday 30th July. The workshops were very well attended and participants, both dogs and owners , learnt all about Hoopers through the excellent instructions from a Hoopers qualified trainer, Sally Friswell who made the sessions very enjoyable. Hoopers is a fully inclusive, low impact activity for dogs and their owners. Either or both may be elderly, disabled or have mobility issues meaning anyone in our local communities can now participate thus improving their health, both physical and mental, and their well being whilst having fun socially with others from their communities. Y Ffrindiau Dysynni Dogs The Friends are extremely grateful for their help through the funding.
