I'm not Albert Einstein, but if the landslide on Hutton Hill isn't addressed promptly, why don't the Hutton Parish Council and North Somerset Council collaborate to find a solution for the traffic congestion on Vereland Road? They could consider implementing a one-way traffic system using Moor Croft Road.
The only potential issue might be the bus routes, but as we know, these can be adjusted fairly easily.
Just a thought.🤔
So the only way in and out the village after 8pm is through vereland rd as road works have now started at the pot hole sanctuary. 😱

Bus service 126 update!
The Wells bound service is now diverted via Moor Lane, Moor Croft Road and Vereland Road, with the Hutton Primary School stop currently suspended due to the landslide on Hutton Hill. The 126 is operating as usual on its Weston bound service.
There are bus stops missing on the diverted route for the Wells bound service, but we have ordered new bus stops. Until they arrive, please wait across the road and opposite the current stops, then signal clearly to the driver to let them know you want to catch the bus. Thank you.

We will start the night at 15a Moorcroft Road for that first taste of the beautiful mulled cider and blessing of the apple trees. We then proceed through the village (banging of pots and pans is very much encouraged to ward off all those evil spirits!) And end up at Walnut Barns where, you guessed it, more of that wonderful mulled cider to keep you warm and we bless the apple trees again. After that, we celebrate with dancing, music, food and merriment. What more could you want? We have Rag Morris doing their wonderful Morris dancing for us, and Somerset Paddies providing the music to keep us dancing all night. It's always a great night and we look forward to sharing it with you.
