An elegant 18th-century exhibition and events venue in Dublin city centre

The City Assembly House, located on historic South William Street in Dublin’s South Georgian Core, was built between 1765-71 by the Society of Artists in Ireland, as the first public exhibition gallery in Ireland and Britain.

Over the course of its 250 year history the City Assembly House has hosted a wide variety of events and we now invite you to continue the tradition of entertaining and exhibiting here. By choosing the City Assembly House for your event, you are actively supporting the care of this significant 18th-century building and the work of the Irish Georgian Society.

The City Assembly House has three rooms available for hire, within walking distance of St Stephen’s Green, College Green, Dame, Dawson and Grafton Street.
