Our immersive stage set design featured over 260 square metres of LED including 20m LED ceiling stripes designed into a multi-layered stage set providing an innovative backdrop to the HX conference that we produced in both Tākina in Wellington & The Star Gold Coast in the Gold Coast.

With Zed setting fire to the stage to open the event in NZ, Sneaky Sound System in Australia, elevating keynotes including Dr Libby, Josh Phegan, , .is.where & industry experts as well as Hannah Fang Violin and The 60 Four providing entertainment, it was a non-stop feast for the senses.

We brought bold & innovative design thinking to the blank canvas of the Takina Convention Centre in Wellington & The Star in Gold Coast to deliver two back to back multiday conferences with meaning & insight for our client of nearly 20 years.

This was another year of firsts with the excitement of the Takina Convention Centre being a new canvas to paint blue! We deconstructed this year’s theme message to synthesize graphic assets that we used to transform our venues into ‘Harcourts World’ – with special details through the environmental design, sculptural pieces, digital & directional signage. Then into the main plenary room where they were brought to life across 5 multi-layered screens featuring over 260 square metres of LED including 20m LED ceiling stripes.

Cocktails on the lawn at NZB Karaka Bloodstock Centre for the barrier draw of the Trackside New Zealand Derby before heading inside for the auction of the barrier slots for the NZB Kiwi – the richest race for 3YO in the Southern hemisphere.

We worked with our client to design the experience and brought the theatre and magic and some equine royalty to parade each slot number – even the horses got to wear some fancy bespoke coats. The world first slot auction exceeded all expectations, and we are thrilled that our client is thrilled. Good luck to all those drawn to run tomorrow in the Trackside NZ Derby.

Total Event brought the theatre and magic and the bidders brought the fireworks. We designed the theatre for this world first to deliver an extraordinary result beyond expectations. Magical night, and we are thrilled that our client and their stakeholders are thrilled. Yes, NZ thoroughbred racing is entering a fascinating new era.

An unforgettable awards event to finish two busy days of conferencing where the very best in the industry were recognized and celebrated and where stories worth sharing were created. We collaborated with tech partners Streamliner Productions in NZ and tech artist who share our passion for pushing boundaries. With a 100m curved screen in NZ and a 30m LED in Australia the canvas was brought to life with bespoke motion graphics celebrating over 300 award winners!

It takes a team to deliver the multiple layers to create a conference that delivers our client’s vision. We managed a collection of creators, technical wizards and producers who came together to deliver a two-day experience that inspired and motivated guests. We enjoyed partnering with Streamliner productions in New Zealand and Encore in Australia to deliver this event at the exacting standards we expect for our client.

Total Event were privileged to design and deliver the brand experience from start to finish with the incredible team at Harcourts for both HX23 New Zealand and HX23 Australia working with this year’s theme, ‘The Finest Experience’, we ensured every touchpoint of the delegates’ journey was designed and curated to deliver on this.

All environmental branding, signage, motion graphics carried the theme across their welcome, partner exhibition, conference, and awards at Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre along with the ‘Top 100’ celebration at , the networking fiesta at and Kaiser Brew Garden and then again at The Star Gold Coast, a networking evening at and awards in The Star ballroom - with back-to-back events it was a busy 2 weeks!

We took our clients message and created an event brand that we sculpted from cardboard and aluminum, and along with what we rented we designed and created an entire event theme that could either be returned reused or recycled. Imagination and cardboard can create event magic.

We joined iconevents and Ngati Manuhiri to celebrate in the sun with the official opening of the world class Te Arai Links, North of Auckland.

We foraged, rented, repurposed, composted and borrowed everything we needed to create an unforgettable ceremony and celebration.

We catered out of authentic earth hangi and then ended with only one small bag of waste.

worked with iconevents to deliver a fully immersive launch event for their client in Melbourne that was a feast for the senses.

Total Event delivered all of the technical expertise to transform this venue into a fully branded experiential space.

We created custom content to feed over 150 projectors and worked with our clients agency to transform their presentation content to fit our wacky shaped screens.

With Live crosses between the Melbourne and Singapore events with guests joining around the globe in the metaverse and live streamed event with the live events joined by a ‘portal’ where guests could say hi to each other from Singapore and Melbourne

– in our client’s words ‘The Team were absolutely incredible and delivered what was initially thought to be an impossible event… the event was a huge success and the feedback has been amazing’

It has been an absolute privilege to produce the first large scale multi-day conference and awards at the wonderful new Te Pae convention centre in Christchurch for Harcourts, our client and friends of 19 years. So good to be able to be back in Christchurch!

We are very proud to have in New Zealand this fabulous new world class venue and they really pulled out the stops to make this event a huge success – and believe us we tested them - with over 1200 attendees, full scale production in the Auditorium, every breakout room, foyer space and Exhibition halls with a 4 hour turnaround from exhibition to gala awards dinner.

The first ever performance on the Te Pae Auditorium stage by Salmonella Dub Feat. Tiki Taane and Whirimako Black opening the 2-day program with a guest speaker lineup of Sir Ian Taylor, David Letele, Stephen Scheeler, Dr Lucy Hone, Mark Pannos Henare Kaa and his year 13 musicians, and our fabulous MC Hilary Barry – Harcourts sure know how to put on a great event!

To top off the amazing awards night, Mike Green was inducted into the Harcourts Hall of Fame followed by Lou’ana and band filling the dance floor, it was the perfect finale!
