Proud to have provided a delicious spread for the Aiken Chamber’s Women in Business Luncheon this past Wednesday, where the dynamic VeryVera took the stage! 🌟 As a Southern cooking show host, entrepreneur, caterer, and mentor, Vera inspired us all with her empowering words. To celebrate her influence, we crafted a menu straight from her cookbooks: a fresh and zesty signature salad, creamy chicken and wild rice casserole, crunchy broccoli salad and soft, buttery sour cream muffins. For dessert, we delighted guests with warm, comforting bread pudding topped with a rich bourbon sauce. A perfect pairing of flavor and inspiration! 🍴✨

We served homemade fridge pickles made from cucumbers grown in the community garden, alongside pickled onions, tomato sandwiches, onion pie, pimento cheese sandwiches, gazpacho, string pea hummus with fresh chips and luscious strawberry parfaits.
