Bloopers-Sony Alpha Female Grant
So, I did a thing. Put myself out there and applied for the Sony Alpha Universe Sony Alpha Female mentorship grant. It took 49 takes to finally all of my thoughts into a continuous 60 second video. Do yall know how hard it is to introcude yourself and explain your hopes and dreams in one minute? Heres a little bloopers reel of all my mess-ups. So, apparently, I clear my throat and fiddle with my hair when I am nervous. Who knew? LOL
It was a huge leap of faith to apply, but an an amazing exercise allowing me to time to put my dreams for my business and the She Is Portrait Project on paper and give it power. I'm introverted by nature so putting myself out there is scary, but I always find the courage to do it because it will somehow, someway get me one step closer to my dreams. I felt my (late) dad cheering me on for this one. I knows he's looking down on me and so proud.
Needed a huge fun creative distraction today so I invited my bestie @adeciccophoto over and had my sidekick Silas assist picking out dresses and modeling for in preparation for the SHE I Portrait Project. Hubby has to work today. :( Trying to keep my mind off of not being able to call my dad today for the first time ever. Not sure when I’ll ever get the courage to take his phone number off of my phone. Happy Father’s Day y’all.

I love photography so much!! Like so..so..so...much!! My bestie Amber of Amber DeCicco Photography • Birth • Family • Wedding • Documentary asked me to assist on a family shoot at Judd trail. Her hubby being a weather guy we felt 95% confident we would escape the rain. Haha, well...we didn’t!! But I had SO much fun. I LOVE the rain and was laughing and smiling as we got soaking wet. The clients stayed mostly dry thanks to our trusty reflector acting as a huge umbrella haha. They wanted images in the bamboo jungle so we crossed the stream and I had to capture Amber and her dedication to capturing the most amazing images no matter what!!! As we dried off in the car we confirmed that Amber nailed the session and got some amazing images despite the crazy rain.

In honor of Veterans Day. A film about military life and family. The Birth Story of Adonijah. This sweet boy decided to come a bit early and his dad, Lt. Elijah Bookhamer was out to sea and wasnt able to make it back in time for the birth, which is unfortunately all too common in military families. I was so honored to film his birth story and I know its cherished by his parents so much now that they are back together again and stationed elsewhere.

Tropical Wedding, Dillingham Ranch, Oahu
I love watching a creative vision come to life. My photographer friend Vanessa told me she had a vision for a tropical themed styled wedding shoot and she shared her vision board with me and I was all in. I loved watching this process go from an idea to a finished product. The vendors created a stunning tropical and romantic setting amongst the historic Dillingham Ranch in Mokuleia on North Shore of Oahu and I was there to capture all of it. Our models were gorgeous, our stylists did a phemonal job creating the vibe and oh my goodness Vanessa is so much fun to watch photograph her couples!

Birth of Adonijah
Happy 2nd Birthday to this precius litle dude, Mr. Andonjah who turns 2 today. Two years ago today, he surprised his mom Jerusha with his early arrival...especially his daddy Elijah, who was out to sea and missed the birth by just a few hours. This beautiful family came into our lives when Raina was a newborn and we were both stationed in San Diego, then fast forward 8 years later and the Bookhammer family was stationed in Hawaii, just long enough to have their beautiful baby boy Adonijah. Having a navy sailor for a dad makes the story of A's birth is a tear jerker, just forwarning you. LOL
Happy Birthday Adonijah, Auntie Noelle is giving you a virtual hug all the way across the ocean.

Happy 2nd Birthday Sonny! It was an honor and a privilege to attend the home birth of Jenna and Matagi's son Sonny Jaesop Toilolo two years ago today. And I say "attend" lightly because although I was in the house at the time, I was standing in the kitchen chatting over our morning coffee with Jenna's mom when we heard "babe, hurry" from the other room and the whole house went running to the birthing room. Matagi jumped in the birthing pool and caught Sonny. I hadn't even turned my camera on, let alone check my camera settings before Sonny made a swift and graceful entrance into this world. Here's a snippet of the sweet moments after he was placed on mama's chest. He was so alert and just wanted to stare at his mom and dad. So sweet.
