Clatsop 4-H & FFA! Sunday, July 7th, beginning at 12pm, CCJMAA is hosting a hoof trimming and sheep sheering day at the fairgrounds. Bring your steers, heifers, cows (minis too) and sheep for a trim to get ready for fair! Please RSVP to Jack, (phone call or text) with your name, how many beef/sheep, and your contact number to 503-338-0555. There will be a minimal fee per animal determined by how many are registered. Questions? Contact Jack or comment/message on Facebook.

We're looking forward to the Astoria Scandinavian Midsummer Festival Oregon taking place at the Clatsop County Fair & Expo June 21, 22 and 23. Here is some helpful parking information and driving directions from the event organizers.

Festival parking costs $5 per car for the whole weekend. The public lot is to the right as you approach the Clatsop County Fairgrounds and there will be a crew to assist you to find you a parking spot. Able-bodied people can cross the road to the fairgrounds over the Troll Bridge. A People Mover will be available to deliver you to the front door too. Overflow parking will be at the CMH Football Field. If you are arrive late on Saturday, look for signs by Fultano's Pizza and by the road to the Column in case parking has moved to the overflow lot. There will be shuttle bus to deliver you to the fairgrounds.

The Clatsop County Fairgrounds are located at 92937 Walluski Loop, Astoria, 97103, about four miles out of Astoria on highway 202. If visiting for the first time, we recommend you set your GPS to Astoria first and then after arriving, change the GPS to the Fairgrounds. This will help you avoid a long, slow, twisty trip on Highway 202 which might leave your passengers car sick. Take Highway 30 to Astoria if coming from the north or highway 26 if coming from the south. All roads to Astoria are very busy in the summer. Give yourself lots of time and be patient. Save travels, everyone! We look forward to seeing you at the Midsummer Festival.
