'Twas the night before Cinco, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a gr**go;

The decorations were hung by the patio with care,
In hopes that Margarita Momma soon would be there;
The partiers were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of frozen margaritas danced in their heads;

And mamma in her China Poblana and I in my Sombrero,
Had just woke up from a early summer nap,

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

The early morning sun, what did it show?
It gave the luster to the trailer below,
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a Margarita Machine ready to produce, but not just a beer

With a driver, so quick and lively,
I knew in a moment it must be Margarita Momma arriving so promptly,
More rapid than eagles, His forces they came,
And spoke to his helpers And called them by name:

"Now Ali! Now Patrcia!
Now, Dale and Theresea!
To the top of the plaza!
Now Ándale! Ándale!
Arriba la Raza!

It was at this point that we knew, it was time for the party to begin. These machine are not slow And just like that frozen Margaritas began to flow.

I heard Margarita Momma exclaim as they went out of sight
HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO TO ALL, AND TO ALL IT’S GOING TO BE ONE HELL OF A GOOD-NIGHT!
