I love the summer days when I get a call from a tourist couple who have fallen in love with Montana and decides that they want to be married the next day. Dale and Yvonne picked up their license on Tuesday and yesterday we met at Sportsman’s Park on the Yellowstone River for a fun ceremony.

Officiating this ceremony was so special. The Kumkum ceremony is the marking of the forehead representing the marriage you share. And the line is to ask for the longevity and health of your husband. The first seven steps of this ritual are:

Simple ceremonies, quiet spaces, secrets waiting for a later wedding, early morning I do‘s, few hours notice, and do I have witnesses. This is what the pandemic has been like for Patricia Clark Weddings. So many couples just wanting to be married, and we did it! Many of them asked it to be a secret for a later party, some hadn’t even told their immediate family. But the one commonality is that they are all in ❤️ and did not want to wait.
