Juggling not one, not two, but THREE businesses while being a a mom to four amazing people ......sheeeshhhhh ....Welcome to the whirlwind world of Farrah Ruth Productions, Kimmie Kakes, and Poshly Printed Parties! 🎈🍰💌 Between orchestrating dreamy baby showers, weaving magic into weddings, crafting custom cakes that are almost too beautiful to eat (almost!), and designing graphics that make every event pop, my days are a blend of creativity, chaos, and a whole lot of music to keep a girl on beat.
Now, let's talk about the real challenge - remembering names. With thousands of incredible souls crossing my path, my brain is like, 'Sorry, we're experiencing technical difficulties, please hold.' 🧠🚫 Imagine having a heart big enough to hold every story, every smile, yet when it comes to names, my memory pulls a Houdini. Vanishes SHEEEESSSHHH If you all knew how hard and how deep i dig for the names of folks you would just say just say hey sis!
So, I've come up with a solution. I call everyone 'love,' 'brother,' 'sistar,' or 'boo.' It's not just a nickname; it's a badge of honor because each person I meet truly becomes a part of my extended family. Whether you are a past client (i know names when we are working in the current time frame) person i went to school with or met at some point in life ( at this point i can barley tell yall whose my cousins vs someone thats my social media friend) I have lot of contact with people. If you catch me pausing for a split second before I call your name, just know my internal search engine is buffering. It's not that I've forgotten you; it's just that my heart is so full, it's taking a moment to locate the file in the 'beloved people' folder. Truthfully im apologizing in advance because so many people call me by Name with love and it feels amazing but i have a hard time calling all names back. I feel so terrible when that happens and i hate saying hey whats your name again (a flaw i need to fix)
SO to all the amazing individuals I've had the pleasure to connect with, thank you for filling my life with so much joy and for being so understanding when I greet you with a 'Hey, love!' instead of your name. You are the reason I leap out of bed each morning (that, and the kids jumping on it at 6 AM).
Here's to more great encounters, unforgettable events, stunning cakes, and designs that make your heart sing. I may not remember every name, but I promise, the love I have for each of you is as real and lasting as the memories we create together.
With Love,
Kimmie
