Our Story

The annual Centerville Archway Days Festival in Historic Centerville, IN is held on the 4th weekend in August at Maplewood Park.

The name Archway Days comes from the many brick archways along main street. During the 1820’s and 1830’s traffic along what is now US 40 (Main street, Centerville) became so heavy that people with street front property built onto the front of their businesses and built brick arches allowing access to the original properties in the rear. Some of these arches are still in good repair and can be seen as you travel down main street.

The Festival began in 1988 and has endured as a fun community event in late August. In 2013 the torch was passed from the original founding group to the current group of organizers. Many activities have come and gone over the years but the spirit of the festival remains the same. Come out and enjoy a weekend in east central Indiana and experience our wonderful small town festival.
