Some amazing moments have happened at ThePeaceful Poetic Place this is just one of those stories!

Thank you to Kenny Watson for sharing this special song he wrote & sang as our featured artist. This was the last song of his 2nd set and we were moved. Adonis Jamison jumped on cajon & Gene Alexander took over Jorell's percussion. Kenny humbly stepped aside as he let Tavon Touré sing & then came up on Jay Reid on violin to continue the song with their own interpretation. It was a beautiful moment with my people!

Black History

I was today's year old....when I found out that Maya Angelou and I have both been on a Christian show, on a live stage, where the host was Bobby Jones. Both accompanied by live musicians, including spontaneous piano playing.

MLK Jr. was, posthumorously (after death), awarded a Grammy for Spoken Word Album of the year, 1971.

Jan. 15, 2012 - "After arriving home from a dynamic performance today at the MLK Cultural Event I asked my precocious son what he thought of my performance. He informed me that my performance was better then ever because it made him imagine being Martin Luther King Jr's son and I was his wife. He said I inspired him."
