Tropical is a legendary West Coast event series that recently celebrated 25 years in business. In 2024 Tropical hosted 6 events - 3 in Oregon and 3 in California!. In 2024 Tropical works more as a collaborative force, bringing people together for more dynamic and successful results.

🌴 Tropical was founded in 1998 by Ben Annand with a vision to improve the image of electronic music events by creating a high-quality production that also raises money and awareness for the less-fortunate. There have been over 90 Tropical events in California, Washington, Hawaii, and Oregon since, over which time the nonprofit party has raised over $33,000 for charitable causes.

Tropical start

ed in a warehouse on October 9, 1998, and moved around to different warehouses in its first 5 years. In 2004 things got experimental with the first-ever Tropical Boat Party, and other formats were later added including Tropical Campout (2007), Tropical Beach Party (2009), and Tropical Oasis Retreat (2011).

Tropical Oasis Retreat happened 6 times in Southern California before jumping to a truly Tropical desination - Hawaii - in January 2018 (Tropical Oasis Retreat Kau'ai). Tropical followed in 2019 with a 400-person extravaganza right on the beach on Maui. After fortuitously planning 2020 off after NYE in California, Tropical returned to Hawaii December 2021 for it's 3rd Hawaiian Island - Tropical Oasis Retreat Big Island. Stay tuned if we make it 4!

After 25 years, 2024 is a year of change for Tropical. Mostly we plan to work as a collaborative force, bringing people together for more dynamic and successful results.

Sept 27-29, 2024 Tropical celebrates 26 years in Frazier Park, CA at a stunning and modern Girl Scout camp in. their off-season. Up to 6 other collaborators will be pulled in to host different cabin and tent villages in this gorgeous spot with over 200 beds, heated swimming pool and 5400 foot elevation just over an hour from Los Angeles.

Guess what's coming up in Oregon in just 2 weeks??? That's right it's the mighty Festival!

I've played lots of CA festivals already this year, but this s my one and only in the PNW in 2024

This will be my second time playing Shift, and I'm excited to spend more time there this time around :)

Last time I barely even saw the Beach Stage, but this year that's where I'm playing.

It's just as well because my floatie game is 1000% stronger now :). Really can't wait for those daytime vibes on the water.

We also have premium accommodations starting at $300 per person in Cook's cabin (Duplex with private bathroom) and 4-bedroom house with 1.5 bathrooms, WIFI, full kitchen, living room, etc

All vehicles also require a parking pass. Parking pass prices are per car not per person, but are based on how many people are in each car:

Solo parking pass is required for person arriving solo in vehicle = $30

2-person parking pass is required for 2 people arriving in same vehicle = $20 (per vehicle, not person)

3+ parking pass is required for 3 or more people arriving in same vehicle = just $10 (per vehicle, not per person).

If you aren't sure how many people you are arriving with, it is okay to wait to buy your parking pass until later. You must purchase it before arrival at gate though.

Let's talk about this Camp Tropical party!
First of all where do we sleep? There are 4 basic options...

(1) - You can pitch a tent and camp. This is the cheapest option starting at 120 in each of 3 camping villages hosted by CUE (San Diego) Love, Soul & Haus (LA) and Tropical (West Coast)

(2) - For $40 more per ticket you can treat yourself to an arrival with no setup other than making the bed you will sleep in. Cabins offer views, electricity, heat, and a private spot for your group of 8 friends to stay together. You must bring own bedding and pillow

Starting at just $160 In each of 3 cabin villages hosted by Cheese House Rekords San Diego Terrakroma (LA) and Tropical (West Coast)

Both the camping villages and cabin villages have restroom buildings with hot showers, individual bathroom stalls, and sinks.

(3)* - Sliding upscale to $300 per person, you can rent out Cook's Cabin with its 2 bedrooms and bathroom with shower tucked in the middle. Each side of Cook's Cabin has 2 bunk beds and sleeps 4 people.

(4)* - The most premium accommodation at the event at $400 per guest is the 4 bedroom, 1.5 bath house with WIFI, kitchen, washer and dryer, and fireplace. There are 3 bedrooms with 4 beds each and 1 bedroom with 8 beds.

*For the first 2 hours of ticket sales (starting Thurs 6-27 at 11:11am) you can only buy Cook's Cabin or the 4 bedroom house in it's entirety. If no one takes the entire cabin or house after 2 hours, each room will become available individually

So so very excited to announce the collaboration team for Camp Tropical taking place September 27-29 in a gorgeous 160-acre mountain camp just over an hour from LA!

At this event, you buy a ticket for the specific village you want to stay in. Some are camping, some are cabins, all will be full of great people staying with their favorite crews!

We will still come together to dance at one central main stage, right next to the Olympic-sized swimming pool :)

There are many legendary festivals that happen on Memorial Day weekend! One of the most anticipated weekends of the year for electronic music! Who's excited?

I know the feeling very well! But this year I'm equally excited to play at a tiny but mighty community campout in Trinity County, Northern CA!

For one thing this 4-day 3-night community campout is totally free to guests! The kindhearted organizers are donating money, time and resources to make this event happen.

For another, It's the friendly kind of family-friendly party. Meaning not merely that you can bring your kids but that there are extensive activities, like a Bounce House, movies, games, yoga, facepainting, henna, tie dying, and arts and crafts. I am bringing Cerise

Venue of the Day! Went back to Frazier Park for scouting visit number 2 for Bridge to Paradise and Tropical on Monday!

On Monday's trip I checked out the camping villages and picked the perfect spot for the dance floor at the debut dance event - Camp Tropical Collaboration September 27-29, 2024

Pictured is one of the 3 Camping Villages at this 160 acre property. The building you see is the restroom building. Each of 3 camping villages and 4 cabin villages has a restroom building identical to this one with toilet stalls, showers, and sinks. I didn't have any content of this before so this is a great addition

It was so good to be back. I am re-energized by the combination of natural beauty, extensive and modern infrastructure, and friendly staff here

We have such a great llneup for you tonight!

We could have booked 6 DJs for hour sets, or 4 DJs for hour and a half sets, but instead we chose 3 artists to fully express themselves in 2 hour sets!
