Whether you are hosting a seminar, workshop, or class... you need a plan.
1. Preplanning: Preparation is vital! Be sure to start planning 90 days out so you can execute your vision in a S.M.A.R.T (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound) manner.
2. Contracts: Secure contracts with those you will be partnering with 2 weeks prior to the day of your event. Remember to give grace to those partners that cancel 1-2 weeks prior to event. If someone cancels, you have time to replace leading up to event.
3. Budget: Set a budget that keeps you accountable. Stick to the numbers like glue. If you go over, create an accountable journal and explain the "how" and "why" of the overspend. It's important to understand triggers to avoid constantly going over your budget.
