Tiny Stage Hawaii is a 500sqft creative space located in the heart of Kaka’ako. Our Tiny Stage has hosted a variety events including small in-person concerts, stage readings, talk backs, acting & improv comedy classes, rehearsals, photo shoots, and live stream shows. Our goal is to provide a safe space for creators of every level to get their work out of their heads and in front of an audience. ‘Cause you don’t need a big stage to have BIG IDEAS! About the class:
In this Acting 101 Class, students will learn the basics to laying a solid foundation for their work. Through individual and group exercises, participants will begin to identify precise wants, obstacles, and resolutions in a script. With many productions coming to film in Hawaii, this class is perfect for the curious beginner, or the seasoned actor looking to stay warm. No experience needed. Recommended for students 18 and over.

About the instructor:
Originally from Honolulu, Elizabeth “Bipsie” Rian received her BFA in Theatre Performance from Chapman University in California. Her professional acting credits include Jane The Virgin (CW), Magnum P.I. (CBS), and most recently Jamojaya with director Justin Chon (Pachinko, Chief of War, Blue Bayou). In 2021, Bipsie starred in the original short Wasteland, which she also produced and wrote. A graduate of UH Lab in Manoa, Bipsie is thrilled to be back home working with the Hawaii TV, Film, and Theatre community.

We had the BEST time hosting based comedian Tumua this weekend for two intimate “secret shows” to test out new material. WHAT A THRILL to have a LIVE AUDIENCE at our Tiny Stage with us. Be sure to catch Tumua at The Blaisdell Concert Hall next week for his shows on December 10, 11 & 12! It’s gonna be epic!!

When we first opened in March 2020, we had some BIG PLANS for . And while most of it was put on hold, I am grateful for this little creative space and proud of what we were able to do while the world was in lockdown. We are super excited to re-open to small classes, performances, more original live stream shows and whatever you like. This space was built for local creators to get their work out of their heads and in front of audiences without the pressure of selling out a large house or paying big rental fees. ‘Cause you don’t need a big stage to have BIG IDEAS!
