Thanks to everyone who came out last night in support of my show, “Born For Broadway – It’s All About The Drama” at Tony's Corner Pocket. Together, we raised $262 for Playhouse Community Theatre, a 501 (c)(3) community-based non-profit organization committed to promoting a healthy social and cultural environment for inner-city youth and adults through the performing arts. Thank you to my co-emcee, Jen Mason, Ms. Gay Pride Houston 2011 who performed with my awesome cast of entertainers: Vivica Perry, Miss Gay Pride Houston 2011; Victoria Ross a.k.a. Edward Smith, Pl***oy Bunny Reject 2012; Alton Howard, GCAM Ambassador 2012; An' Marie Gilll, Miss Gay Pride Houston 2009; Phil Lyles a.k.a. Lillian Devereaux, Miss Gay Pride Houston 2003; Richard Bang a.k.a. Regina Dane, Miss Gay Pride Houston 2008; Sueage Debris, GLAM Ambassador; and Selena St John, Miss Lonestar Houston 2012 and Miss Gay Pride Houston 2002. Thank you very much to Vivica Perry for her rendition of “And I Am Telling You” and for raising an additional $76 for her audience requested encore performance! Vivica, emotions and drama were high the first time you did that song, and you brought back an even higher level of artistry and excitement as an encore. So, thank you very much! Thank you to Chan Te for speaking on behalf of Playhouse Community Theatre and the summer youth program of 35 students. Thank you to our DJ, Phil Lyles, for spinning our music and for keeping us sounding great. Thank you to David Adams for your support and dedication for poster concept and creation as well as show promotions and in accounting details along with your assistants, Edward Smith and Jen Mason. To one and all, thank you very much! If you were unable to attend our show but would like to make a donation, please visit: www.playhousehouston.org and click on the DONATE tab to provide assistance to the current fundraising campaign. Tonight, we look to seeing everyone at 7PM at the Brb Houston for the Stella Link Seville Pride Pageants: Mr., Miss and Ms. Gay Pride Houston 2012 and for the 2011 Gay Pride Houston Royalty step-down and performances. Happy Gay Pride Month!
