✨Golden Hour✨

While mowing last night I couldn't help but pause and think about how far we've come this season. Finding beauty in the small things and thankful for the work put in. July is typically when I begin to lose motivation, but I'm already brainstorming for the fall and spring. Excited to fix a few errors and delve into the new season. CSA! Sign ups for CSA are now open! There are a few different choices this year, including a flower bunch, small and large CSA, and a farmers bunch which will include veggies, flowers, and eggs. I will be offering delivery (for a small fee), or weekly pick up in Louisville. I will include a link to the website in this post, and you are welcome to message me with any questions you might have! The date for the first CSA will be April 19th, and available every Friday there after. I am thrilled to be able to grow and provide for you all this season and can't wait to see everyone. ✨Hi! For those of you who are new to my page, my name is Em and I'm a flower farmer. A lot of you know me from the service industry, but for those that don't here's a bit about me! I was a long time bartender (10+ years), and left the service industry two years ago to start my own flower farm. I've been in the farming world on and off for over 15 years; having worked on a goat farm, a few large scale vegetable farms, and now I work for myself on my own farm! I grow on a very small scale, just under 2 acres, and am absolutely obsessed with anything to do with flowers and vegetables. This season I'll be amping up production of both flowers and vegetables and will be offering CSA's for both. I can't wait to grow for you all and look forward to seeing everyone in the spring✨

Hey y'all! Big things happened this week for the farm! We built a greenhouse and bought a tractor! Both of these things will help tremendously with the upcoming growing season, and I absolutely cannot wait to see what grows for us! Big things are happening on the farm! Starting with a name and logo change. While Petal and Stave is what kick-started everything, Juniper Brooks Farm is the name I've changed to. I wanted something more geared towards the farm itself, and something to pass down to my kids, Juniper & Brooks. A lot of times we only want to show the pretty side of things, and that just isn’t real life. This is the neglected garden, the pain in my ass, thorn in my side. But, today, I chose to acknowledge it, and am slowly peeling back the onion layers of what a hell scape this has become. It’ll need lots of work to make it what I want (a wild flower bed), but I’m willing to put the effort in knowing what it could be. Check on your farm friends! Make sure the chickens haven’t eaten us if we die out there. 🐓👩🏻‍🌾

Inside growing- a blessing and a curse. Earlier in the year we had terrible storms that unfortunately decimated my greenhouse. A lot of farming is learning to adjust to any curveball thrown at you. If there’s a will, there’s a way. All of my seeds have been started in doors this year, and fingers crossed will do just as well! It takes a little brainwork on my end figuring out lighting, moving, watering, etc…but I’m here for the ride! I know in the end it will all be worth it. 💪🏻👩🏻‍🌾
