I can’t believe you’re TWO! It feels like just “yesterday” we were planning and celebrating your first birthday. You were so little then and didn’t quite enjoy it as much as this year, but oh, how things have changed!

Seeing your little eyes light up as you took in every detail of your party made my heart smile. At one point, I couldn’t hold back the tears, watching you explore every corner of that ballroom with your mom, dad, aunt, grandmas, family, and little friends. You truly embraced every aspect and every bit of love I poured into those details.

I can’t thank you enough for filling my heart with hope and gratitude. I’m beyond blessed to know you and your BEAUTIFUL family, especially your gorgeous and wonderful mom!

I know you’ll keep growing, not just in stature but also into an inspiring man because you have the best examples guiding you.

Your second birthday party was unforgettable. I was nervous, with sleepless nights and countless hours of planning, afraid it wouldn’t be as amazing and fun as your first. But it only got better! What a fun day—for you, your family, everyone there, and me too!

Jessie’s Bridal Shower is a perfect example of what we excel at—planning and designing unforgettable events.

Ella and her family are dream clients, and Jen is an amazing planner—so much so that I’ll always do whatever it takes to keep her in my team of planners.

Receiving event photo galleries always feels like a little miracle in my heart, especially on the days when I’m feeling frustrated with this business. They remind me why I’m so passionate about what I do.

Sam’s .portraits.dc kind words and stunning galleries always seem to arrive when I need them most. 🤍

I know it might look like we’re “killing it” in business—and in many ways, we are, and I’m incredibly grateful for that. But the truth is, this journey will always be challenging for me. Why?

I don’t know how to go “cheap.” Each piece of decor is carefully curated, and that dedication quickly adds to our costs.

Planning and designing a kids’ birthday party or any social event, no matter how “small,” takes an immense amount of time when done right. Yet, many don’t realize the effort involved and hesitate to pay for it.

Everyone loves the details, but as they say, “the devil is in the details.” Unfortunately, those details come with costs, too.

It’s exhausting to explain, justify, and clarify why we charge what we do. But at the end of the day, I remain committed to quality and excellence, even when it’s hard, because that’s what makes these events—and this business—so special for me!

The very first event I had the joy of planning and designing… our wedding!

This wasn’t just any event; it was the one that changed everything for me. Our wedding day was such a success, it inspired me to switch my major to Tourism and Events Management and completely change my career.

I’m forever grateful for this moment, where we brought our two families together, overcoming language barriers and creating unforgettable memories. It was during this event that the desire to create meaningful memories for others was sparked within me, and the significance of memories took on a whole new meaning in my heart and life.

There’s nothing more priceless than the memories we create and cherish. Some of my family and friends didn’t speak fluent English, and Pat’s side knew little Portuguese, yet everyone joined in singing and celebrating. It was the perfect start to a brand new chapter in my life.

Despite the challenges of being far from my family, especially after having kids, our journey has been nothing short of a fairytale. If you know Pat, you know exactly what I mean.

Thank you, meu amor, for 12 amazing years. Thank you for the beautiful family we’ve built, for always taking care of us, and for being the best husband and daddy our babies could ever ask for. Thank you for being my best friend and always believing in my dreams, supporting me in this business, and always making sure my wishes come true! 🤍🥂

16 years ago today, I left my home country and thought I would be back in a year.

So much to think about and be thankful for.

I vividly recall the moment I approached my boss to share the news. As he passed by my desk, I took courage and said I needed to talk to him, he immediately said he need to talk to me too and asked me to go over to his office in 30 minutes.

Within 30 minutes, we found ourselves in his office, anticipation hanging thick in the air.

I have “bad” news,’ I began.
His response, ‘I have great news, who goes first?’ set the tone for our exchange.

With a heavy heart, I shared my plan to live abroad for a year to improve my English. His words, though supportive was tough to hear: “here is your contract, we were going to promote you. But go, I am placing it in my drawer and it will be here in a year”. 🥹

Of course tears came down my face. I was waiting for that and really the only reason I wanted to come here was to improve my English to be able to apply for that position.

Fast forward 16 years and it’s awe-inspiring to witness how God’s plan sometimes is different from ours, ultimately leading to something even better.

I know that job position was great and meant so much to me but wow, so many other dreams coming true – a loving family, a thriving business, and cherished friendships. I don’t think I would have been that good at finance, instead I found my true passion: creating sweet memories to others. 💙

Planning and designing one of my favorite hockey player’s 1000th game celebration alongside the most amazing client (his wife) is a dream, one that I hold dear. 🏒🤍

I am truly honored to be a part of it, and to know this incredible and beautiful family! ♥️
