Today we’re shining a spotlight on Emily Rodriguez, our multitalented Project Coordinator on the team.

Born and raised in NYC, Emily currently lives in Beacon, NY.

🎬 What was your journey to DGNL?
Working part-time as a receptionist at a hair salon and a production assistant at a music venue made me realize how much I love collaborating with artists and bringing projects to life. My good friend connected me with the DGNL team spontaneously after letting her know I was looking to coordinate and produce in the video production world. After meeting with leadership, I knew this was the right team for me. The rest is history!

🧊 Favorite day-beverage of choice?
Iced Matcha Latte with Oat Milk and Vanilla

🤔 You might not know
1) I've been going to see live music since I was 14 and have been to 200+ shows so far.
2) I enjoy giving friends and family tarot readings to flex my intuitive muscles and connect to the mysteries of life.

🎬 What’s one project you’ve worked on at DGNL that you’re particularly proud of?
I recently worked as a set decorator and prop master on a DGNL fashion film. It was so fun to be on set and contribute creatively alongside my peers! The shoot was a success and reminded me why I love being in the creative field. Also reminded me of those late-night photoshoots my sisters and I would have when we were tweens haha.

Today we’re shining the spotlight on Joe! He’s a talented Motion Designer on our team. Born, raised, and located in Dallas, Texas.

🎬 What was your journey to DGNL?
After seven years in the Air Force I found success in the ranks, but realized I had I wanted to pursue a creative career instead. So, I decided to go back to college and become designer. I worked in several marketing and printing roles while freelancing as well. My goal was to eventually be part of a dedicated design team, so when saw the opportunity at DGNL I decided to go for it.

☕️ Favorite day beverage of choice?
Coffee, Matcha Latte or a good ol’ Dr. Pepper.

🤔What might people now know about you?
I think the one that surprises most people is that I have 6 dogs. 🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕

🎬 What’s one project you’ve worked on at DGNL that you’re particularly proud of?
I’m proud of the work we did on a fully animated video for a case study. I loved this project because I felt my team trusted me and the process as well. Thanks to some awesome teamwork, and a lot of coffee, we were able to bring the story to life.

✨What brings you joy?
WAY too many things to pick just one. My wife for always supporting me, seeing my rescue dogs have a happy life, doing good work, learning new things, and sharing what I know with others is always a good time.

Born in NY and raised in the Bronx, Lillian currently lives in Manhattan.

🎬 What was your journey to Diagonal Media?
Graduated from NYU Tisch, acted in some things, and started writing investigative theatre plays. Was a Digital Coordinator at Tribeca Film Institute, managed communities and social/digital presences for many orgs and artists. Found Diagonal Media 4 years ago, and it has been an ever-expanding joy to be part of this incredible team ever since!

My most recent play, Primordial, just went up at The Tank theatre in NYC and the team came out to support in SUCH a big way. Above and beyond and I'm just so so grateful.

Excited to keep creating and expanding with Diagonal Media.

DGNL Gives Back - our program benefiting non-profits with in-kind service donations from DGNL. I helped launch and run the initiative.

✨What brings you joy?
Dogs, puppies, sunshine, stories about women, being on the beach, words of affirmation, long walks outside when it's warm, and did I mention dogs?
