We have a saying “Keepin’ Sound Underground”, and when we started we thought it was just used to describe the type of music we always wanted to feature at our events...But what we’ve come to realize is that underground music has empowered dramatic changes in ourselves, how we see the world, and what are priorities are...
Looking back on American history to the days of slavery and The Underground Railroad…
The Underground Railroad was an amazing network of people who came together and risked their own lives to help guide slaves to freedom…They operated underneath the influence of a society who socially accepted the disgusting act of slavery. But people aren’t coming together enough anymore to make the positive changes we all want to see in the world. Our goal is to create an amazing network of people who will come together to fix the wrongs! We feel music and our events can inspire and motivate people to come together to make the world a better place! Until recently we’ve only come to understand how powerful and influential music can be in it’s most purest form…
Take Hip Hop music for example...it was created as a form of expression for people to “rap” about social and political issues. In it’s purest form it brought awareness to many social issues the ghetto communities were facing during the 80’s and 90’s and still to this day...
It became an extremely influential art form! Imagine if corporate America used this influence only to spread awareness of social and political issues…
Could the power of Hip Hop have been used to make the world a better place with the billions of dollars it generated and the influence it had...We believe so! Electronic Dance Music was only until a few years ago heard at “underground” clubs throughout the world...The people who created this genre did it purely out of the love of the music. Not to be on MTV and make a million dollars…
Electronic Dance Music brought together large crowds of people from all different walks of life; It was seriously all about love...not just the music! We’ve met some of the best strangers on earth at underground dance music events. But over the past couple of years it’s popularity has increased dramatically thus capturing the eye of corporate America.. Spawning corporate sponsored DJs...The art once again became all about the money vs all about the positive message of love. Now EDM events are infested with sketchy drug dealers, drug overdoses, and it’s not uncommon to see a fight breakout…
Four years ago before corporate America sunk their teeth into the scene...These type of occurrences were pretty much non-exist…Everyone was a family and looked out for each other when they were underground. We are here to break the cycle of corporate America ruining the art, the love, and the power music has to make the world a better place…
We’ll never compromise our integrity, our art, our music or our events for financial gain…We’ll never knowingly work with people, artists or organizations who don’t share our same values. We say never because we don’t have a choice…
