Some very bad news for OlyTheater from the Capital Mall

"Unfortunately, we do not have another available space in the mall that we can relocate you to, or we would be offering that at this time.

The Perm Leasing group has precedence over all temporary spaces; thus, we are having to either relocate or terminate some tenants making way.

OlyTheater will need to vacate by Saturday August 10, 2024, by 11:59pm. "

Theater Artists Olympia , Juice Box Theatre Olympia and Broadway Olympia Productions will now have to scramble to find a new space for all of our planned future events.

Does anyone have any ideas?

ETA - The mall was very generous to give us the fantastic deal they did for as long as they did. We are very sad, but we are definitely not able to pay market rent and it sounds like they have found a tenant who can. We wish we had been given more notice, but they were only officially required to give us 24 hours.

We have a handful of tickets available for today’s matinee at 2:00. We recommend buying online, but we should have a few tickets left at the door, so come on down to Capital Mall for some Tick, Tick... BOOM!

Theater Artists Olympia's production of "The Liar" by David Ives is at OlyTheater in Capital Mall, March 22 through April 7 with Aaron Gotzon as Dorante and Teresita Brimms as Clarice. The play is directed by Tom Sanders who said, “It’s not an absurdist play. It’s actually a straight farcical comedy.”

Let's meet the cast and crew of An Improbable Peck of Plays, opening tonight at Oly Theater in the Capital Mall . Next up, Director Jonathan Hart!

Jonathan Hart has been performing in the Puget Sound area for over 20 years. In more recent years he has been spotted in Lakewood Playhouse’s “Rocky Horror" (Ensemble), TLT’s “Macbeth” (The Porter), Goldfinch Productions “The Misanthrope” (Celimene), and TAO’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” (Bottom). This is Jonathan’s first time directing. Off stage he is a local interior architectural designer, volunteer park ranger at Mt. Rainier and spends much of his free time working with his partner restoring their nearly 100 year old farmhouse.
