OK, so hear us out. 😞No one is more bummed of this cancellation than Goldmine Band and us. Due to some unforeseen circumstances (nope, not weather oddly enough), we are overwhelmingly sorry to call tomorrow night's show.

It can be argued that luck wasn't on our side for some of the season, BUT we will never forget how lucky we are to have such supportive and understanding friends like you. We did everything we could behind the scenes to bring a show to you tomorrow, but it just wasn't in the stars.

As we end our season, we encourage you to check out the MANY excellent outdoor events throughout the area. We're all in this together: the bands, the fans, the vendors, and the partners like Play Pensacola Parks & Recreation, City of Pensacola - Government, Allen Turner Hyundai & United Way of West Florida - we all want to bring you activities to love our community like we do.

In closing, Thank You. For your enthusiasm, your support and in advance for saying you’ll come out to see us in 2025 for another incredible season because of you. 💙🎶💛

This is our least favorite part of the job. 🥺 While some blue skies are trying to peek out, future predictions show the wet stuff coming in later. Additionally, the greens are a little soggy and we want all of our friends to be safe and comfortable, so it's with heavy hearts that we will be canceling tonight's Blenders Emerald Coast show. We're going to try one more time next week with Goldmine Band. A really big thanks for everyone who comes together to put this concert series together - Play Pensacola Parks & Recreation, City of Pensacola - Government, Allen Turner Hyundai, United Way of West Florida, The Soundmen, and all our vendors. Dear friends, best laid plans. We are so sorry to announce we will be canceling tonight's show. We got to the field today and it's just a bit too saturated for vendors and guests. We care very deeply about our relationship with the City and do not want to compromise their beautiful greens as well as the general safety of our guests. We definitely appreciate everyone's understanding on this decision.

Again, we are so sorry BUT mark your calendars for July 7th for the rain date and performance of Goldmine Band. Same Bat time, same Bat place.

It was a warm but gorgeous night for Ben Fry and Still Standing Elton John Tribute! Thank you for the GREAT crowd that came out tonight and help us raise over $350 for the Blues Angel Music Foundation and the O.J. Semmes Elementary School music program. Blenders Show Canceled: After reviewing the weather forecast and due to an abundance of caution and safety for our guests, musicians, vendors, volunteers, and staff, tonight's Blues on the Bay show has been canceled. We apologize we can't bring you a toe-tapping time this week, but we hope to see you on Sunday, July 30 for Not Quite Fab as well as our community drum circle!

Don't forget, starting at 5:00, Nan will be leading a drum circle. We have the drums, you bring the rhythm.

A community drum circle is a noisy and fun, family friendly event, where people come together in order share their spirit by entertaining rhythmically as a percussion ensemble. They empower each other in the act of celebrating community and life through rhythm and music.

What is the purpose of drumming circle?

Typically, people gather to drum in drum "circles" with others from the surrounding community. The drum circle offers equality because there is no head or tail. It includes people of all ages. The main objective is to share rhythm and get in tune with each other and themselves.

What are the benefits of drumming circles?

According to Dr. Barry B. Bittman, drumming circles help boost the immune system and promote physical healing. Drum therapy encourages people to release inner trauma through physical movement and meditative rhythms, as well as bringing people together.

Why is drumming healing?

Drumming induces deep relaxation, lowers blood pressure, and reduces stress. Moreover, drumming promotes the production of endorphins, the body's own morphine-like painkillers, and can help control pain and those suffering grief. Drumming and rhythm are powerful tools as they permeate the entire brain.
