An important thing to look for if you want candid-style wedding photos

…someone who can anticipate moments. I consider myself to have a good mix of editorial and candid style photographs. The biggest thing to help me get those “candid” and unscripted moments is by reading people and predicting what will happen on a wedding day. Whether it's the subtle embrace of guests or the tears of joy from your loved ones, it's all about feeling the energy and understanding my environment to place myself and my lens where I think the emotions and moments will happen!!

what does a film add-on to your wedding photography package consist of?

I offer an a la carte structure to my wedding packages/pricing. One of the things you can add on is film. Film is like listening to your favorite song on vinyl, just some intangible feels that add to the art through a different medium.

You’ll get 3-5 rolls (100-180 ish images) throughout your wedding day. This range is because I can’t guarantee a certain number of shots due to a lot of different factors while shooting film. It usually depends on the light and shooting conditions throughout the day that I’ll determine when to even use film.

I usually shoot on 3 different film cameras throughout the day because each one kind of caters to different situations! You’ll get the digital scans of the film delivered in your final gallery in a separate section labelled “film” so you know which ones are which :)

When you add on film, YOU MUST add a second shooter to your wedding package. This is because as much as I love film and nothing bad has ever happened to it 🤞🤞 there are still risks when shooting film. Because of these risks, I like to have a digital backup just in case. So while I’m shooting film, I’ll have a second shooter getting those same shots on digital, heaven forbid something happen.
