Less than 10 days away from our 2022 Homecoming Friday night festivities. We wanted to feature this year's Grand Marshal, Mrs. Geraldine (Gerry) LeFevre. Mrs. LeFevre is a long-standing supporter of Catholic education and we're so blessed to have her serving in this honorary role! Although many of you know her, here's a brief bio to show her far-reaching impact.
Mrs. LeFevre is a pillar in the Nouvel Catholic Central Community. She is a devout Catholic and a strong supporter of Catholic education. She is the mother of seven children who attended St. Stephens in Saginaw. She has 35 grandchildren, 23 of whom graduated from NCC, three currently attend NCC. She has 38 great grandchildren (with 5 on the way). All great grandchildren that are school age attend Catholic schools, with 8 at NCCE/MS.
Not only does she support NCC, she is an avid Nouvel Sports Booster. Of her grandchildren that attending Nouvel, they have earned 10 state championships. She started the St. Stephen girls swim team, Nouvel bowling team and helped the band receive new uniforms.
Throughout her 90 years, she has been on numerous Catholic committees and Board of Directors, including Ave Maria College. She has a scholarship with the Catholic Community Foundation of Mid-Michigan that supports students attending a Catholic college. She and her late husband Len are members of the Catholic School's Hall of Fame.
She recently celebrated her 90th birthday and we look forward to continuing to see her at NCC events.
You can see Mrs. LeFevre leading the parade on Friday, September 23. Full homecoming details can be found at: www.NouvelCatholic.org/Homecoming2022
