Today from 4:30-6pm we will be at the Irreducible Grace Foundation (Black Youth Healing Arts Center) for the Love Heals ALL event providing healing through Art activities! A lot is happening around the 🌍 in our communities. Our youth see everything we see. Let’s show them some LOVE! 💗

Safe Space Shelter is in need of a few volunteers this Sunday, November 26.

Morning shifts are 2.5 hours long from 7:00am-9:30am. Volunteers talk with shelter guests, serve coffee and snacks, and help with laundry. By providing emergency shelter for single adults experiencing homelessness, we’re providing a warm, safe place for people to sleep at night so they can focus on tomorrow. Please join us in this life-saving work by serving as a volunteer at Safe Space Shelter.

So much is happening around the world and we’re just watching it and continuing our daily lives as if this is normal! Our youth have access and see the same things we see. Our silence is violence and it’s becoming dangerous! As our youth are learning from our silence. With a heavy heart thinking about those who are being personally effective by the horrific tragedies happening, I felt the need to do something. I was at a meeting and was asked how do I feel. My response led to asking if we could come together to hold a healing space for our youth. I’m so thankful to ComMUSICation Irreducible Grace Foundation (Black Youth Healing Arts Center) Victoria Theater Arts Center WFNU 94.1 FM Frogtown Community Radio for supporting this idea. This is a free event that is open for anyone that is in need of healing and just some extra love! And I know many of us are going through things, recently lost a loved one and just may feel alone. Well this space is for you and we will have healing activities, food, and a positive energy. Come and bring your kids 🧡 ❤️💙💜😊 Mizz Mercedez

Thank you to everyone who stopped by St. Paul Fellowship Parking Lot. We had an amazing performance by ComMUSICation singing spooky tunes 👻 , Feeding Frogtown gave the community delicious meals from Homi Restaurant and Cheng Heng Restaurant, and Saint Paul Police Department came in their cool van 🚐 passing out candy‼️ Hope everyone had a safe Halloween. Don’t forget to brush your teeth tonight 😊😂🧟‍♀️

Our fall event is just a WEEK away! On October 29th, from 2-5pm, we're having a PUMPKIN PARTY, where builders are challenged to create their spookiest, kookiest, craziest pumpkin-themed builds. Beforehand, special lecturer Sydney Latimer (aka Divine Words) will be presenting a special guest lecture on set design and using pumpkins as a creative medium!
