Speech for Rosa Parks Event (2/8/24)

We move in the Spirit of our Ancestors..

Those of whom who came before us
laying the foundation for us today, and
the countless number of sacrifices that
were made just for us to stand here today

& Rosa Parks wasn’t standing for the
BS, as she sat herself down at the front
of the bus, and refused to move in a
time where People of color were supposed
to move to the back of the bus when
instructed by a white person on that
fateful day on December 1st, 1955..

& here we stand here today, some
of us sitting as Rosa Parks once did,

United in hand..
The Resiliency..
The Perseverance..
The Dedication..
The Continued Sacrifices..

Of our People through hardships
through any Obstacles..

We always Overcome..

The fact that we are here
standing or sitting today
& breathing in this oxygen

We are Blessed..
& We have Won..
