Exclusive pre-screening of the new TV series from acclaimed writer/director Boots Riley (Sorry to Bother You)!
The event is co-organized with SF State Associate professor of Anthropology Dawn-Elisa Fischer.
I'm a Virgo is a coming-of-age joyride featuring Cootie (Jharrel Jerome), a 13-foot-tall young Black man in Oakland, CA. On escaping his insular home, Cootie discovers the beauty and contradictions of the outside world - he forms friendships, finds love, navigates awkward situations, and encounters his idol, The Hero (Walton Goggins).
The program begins at 5:45pm, with screening commencing at 6pm. Tickets are free with RSVP
