THE HEIROPHANT-PAULINA TAROT

The teacher of the mystic knowledge and wisdom.

This card makes me think of my time as a martial arts instructor teaching kiddos. Such a blessing in my life to get to be a guardian to the innocent and instill within them character traits that have the ability to help them grow in life and become the ultimate version of themselves.

The all seeing eye bestowed this opportunity upon me and it is something I am eternally grateful for.

DEATH-THOTH TAROT

A commonly misunderstood card as our western association with death is often met with thoughts of despair; when truly death is the very essence of life, as without decay there is no growth.

The farmer works and works while striving to produce and yield produce that will eventually decompose within his gut and be s**t out and returned to the earth.

We can see the reaper, reeling in the different stages of life to be harvested, to be returned to life from the phoenix rising from the crown upon it's skull.

Nothing lasts forever, nothing; not even death, for there is life after, in and through death.

Going back to my original deck, what a moment of nostalgia this is as I type this; thinking how much has happened since my journey with tarot began...

I will leave the interpretation to this card vague, will intentionally placed creates a fortified space in which the flames of victory are beheld.

Victory belongs to those who choose to claim it.

Only they willing to reach through the flame are willing to behold the crown.

THE HERMIT-PAULINA TAROT

A card very near and incredibly dear to my heart. As it has always been the card I best felt represented my own spiritual experience.

One who has chosen solitude to explore the darkness and the wilderness of consciousness and now seeks to bring the illumination of truth to others in the dark with the staff that has been lit by the cycle of truth, the sun; the moons and the stars. All there to guide us, One beautiful aspect of this card I am only now noticing is the light radiating from the horizon perhaps signifying that dawn is coming, a new day is around the corner; and indeed as we go about this Monday, A NEW DAY IS HERE.

The amount of detail in tarot cards can be exhausting so I choose to highlight aspects that really pop out at me in these posts, this deck especially has an incredibly amount of detail; and I will maintain out of the decks that I have read from and explored the art of, it remains to be my favorite.

THE FOOL-PAULINA TAROT

A favorite deck of mine for it's unsurpassed artistic beauty, I stumbled upon this deck while in a witchy shop in Boulder, Colorado on a spiritual retreat last year.

The fool being a card of new adventure and faith, while the dog urges his companion to caution the upcoming hill; the fool pays him no mind looking freely into the sky, as if he knows his fate.
We often seem foolish to those who have not traversed a path beneath the cliff and thus have not learned of the stone steps and rungs of roots for our feet to make a path from.

Imagine your path forward, then TAKE THE LEAP.

THE MAGICIAN-PAULINA TAROT

The creator of ones own destiny and thus their own world. We see an ornately adorned individual with the 4 minor arcana symbols at her feet looked after by woodland creatures.

In the Magicians hand is held an illuminated wand guiding her intention and path forward as we can see their eyes are closed, faith in ones intention and the actions taken through said intention. For that is a precursor for all of magic, INTENTION.

With such a detailed art base I could type until my fingers bled going on about the detail of this card, however I will close this post with the owl atop The Magicians head adorned with a figure 8 of eternity. The owl long held as a symbol of wisdom, always watching with keen and piercing eyes have the eternal wisdom of one who uses observation as a means to gain knowledge of ones world.

FUN FACT-Owls or at least some have reticulating bones within their neck and are able to turn them 360 degrees allowing them to look in all directions around them as opposed to humans who have articulating bones and have a limited range of rotation. I recently witnessed this during the day time in a forest while on my vision quest and it is quite the sight. Spooky and yet incredibly beautiful. I do not take seeing an owl in day time as a bad omen, as I have come to accept laying down yesterday's version of me and being born anew each day and seeing this owl; a confirmation that I am doing just that. Living each day with new life and growing as I do so.
