Holly Week is upon us. The most meaningful week in the Christian calendar. Please join us for our services. Maundy Thursday, April 6, commemorates the washing of the feet, and the last supper of Jesus with the apostles. Please join us at 7 PM in the church sanctuary for a special contemplative service.

Then, on Good Friday, April 7, we will join the Rev., Philip Francis and the congregation of Saint David’s United at 10:30 at their church at the top of Taylor Way. All are welcome to participate.

On Easter morning, Sunday April 9th, if you are an early bird, wake up and join us outside by Saint Francis in the Wood Anglican Church for an ecumenical service at 6;00 on Caulfeild Rocks. . Sunrise services are so very meaningful.

And then, of course, Easter morning will also see us gather for our regular time at our church at 10:30 for Easter Sunday. service at 29th and Marine.

WE INVITE THE COMMUNITY TO JOIN US IN DANCE!
On the first Saturday of every month (beginning May 6th), from 3 – 5pm, we will have dancing lessons in our Lower Hall. You will learn to waltz, foxtrot, line-dance, to participate in Persian, Scottish or Jewish dancing—a different dance every month! Refreshments will be served.

A few of us spent an interesting day thinking about change and possibilities. What can the church be? What can our ruling bodies be? How do we stretch and grow appreciatively and with respect for one another? Great conversations for us to have with one another. Let us know your thoughts!

The Golden Rule of "Do unto others..." is supported by research. Kindness, it seems, can actually lead to better results in business and politics as well as in interpersonal relationships. How about we all try to be just that much kinder to each other today? Maybe tomorrow too...

We've been taught that kind people don't have what it takes to be successful. But is this always the case?

He was one of the finest men anyone had the good fortune to know. His smile lit up a room. When you walked into church and saw his face, you knew all was right in the world.

Former CBC journalist and renowned cinematographer Bob Crone, who travelled across the world and earned multiple lifetime achievement awards, died last week, his family said. He was 90.

Join us Christmas Eve at 5:00 for a lovely service of wonderful carols and a reminder of why we celebrate this season. A baby came among us to remind us of profound love. And, come on back Christmas morning, Sunday, at 10:30, for another lovely service.

December 11th is Food Bank Sunday at our church. We welcome donations of non perishable food just inside the entrance to the church. At a time when more people are turning to food banks, it is our opportunity to share what we have.

Today is the second Sunday in Advent -the theme this week is Peace. Come join us at 10:30 today for worship service, then grab a coffee and treat after if you have time. At 12:45, come to Dundarave Pier and help decorate our Christmas tree.

Never too early to start planning Christmas! A note for your calendars - Family Christmas Eve services will be held at the church at 5:00 on Saturday, December, 24th. Our regular church service will be held Sunday morning, December 25th at 10:30. Hopefully by then gifts will have been opened, pancakes consumed and we can celebrate "the reason for the season" together.

Saints live among us and come in many shapes and sizes. For All Saints Day, we celebrate Jean Lawrence and Rev. Woldy Sosnowsky as two of our amazing living saints even as we remembered those not still with us. But their memories and impact live on in all of us.
