MEET YOUR BICKINGTON COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Come and meet Sarah on Weds 1 Feb 6pm-7pm or Sat 4 Feb 12noon - 1pm at the Village Hall. Free hot drinks and biscuits provided

Sarah Kersey is a community development worker from Teignbridge CVS who has skills and knowledge gained through many years working with people taking action on things they care about in their communities.

She is keen to listen to local people. Covid 19 showed how communities can support each other in a crisis. Ordinary people getting involved in their community in small ways can make a big difference to people's lives and the places where they live. Come and tell Sarah about the strengths and the challenges of living in Bickington.

LEARNING FOR COMMUNITY RESIDENTS
Digital Devon- “Connecting communities through digital skills.”

Digital Devon provides community learning to Devon residents, upskilling participants in basic online digital skills that have become more and more essential for everyday life over the past few years. Gaining these skills can improve and increase quality of life, independence, and general confidence in navigating an increasingly digitized world.

Bite sized face to face and online workshops and individual help sessions will be delivered by our team of friendly, supportive staff. These can be accessed remotely or in community venues in your local area. Our workshops are delivered in small welcoming groups. The workshop content will be designed to support every day digital skills that you need in real life. There are a variety of workshop topics and opportunities to book individual sessions around specific digital needs. In addition, there are options to progress onto further training and study.
