It was clear from first talking to you both just how much you love Whitby & that really shone through yesterday with how you talked about the town.

To get the opportunity to photograph you both with some stunning backdrops was fantastic (even if we rain dodged).

Yesterday I spent the afternoon with Darren & Rowen at Skelton Mills. A lovely little spot just up the coast from Whitby near Saltburn.

The ceremony was perfect with lots of laughing and quite a few happy tears too.

I was down at Hackness Grange again yesterday for Callum & Michelle’s wedding. A lovely couple from Wigan but with strong ties to Scarborough.

What a lovely day I had on Saturday with Connor & Pearl. A fantastic ceremony at Whitby registry followed by pictures at Whitby Whale Bones with the family, then the 199 Steps & on to Staithes.

A Wedding down at Hackness Grange today for a lovely couple Amy & Tom. One of my favourite venues for weddings and I’ve done lots over the years there. There really is something special about that long walk from the house, over the bridge to the island.

Very hot day and I’ll be hoping for the same next Friday when I’m back for another wedding.

In between I’m back in Whitby for a wedding there. Busy busy…

Yesterday I had the pleasure of spending a couple of hours capturing a very intimate wedding for Ben & Natalie in Scarborough.

We stopped off on North Marine Drive for some pictures before going up to The Clock Tower for some more.

On Saturday I had the pleasure of seeing & photographing a lovely couple at The Downe Arms just outside of Scarborough.

David & Gill had a lovely day surrounded by friends & family. The reception room looked stunning & The Downe Arms is certainly a venue that I’m sure everyone who attended on Saturday would recommend.

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing David for 30 years, and been up close watching him marry the love of his life was truly emotional.

Morning

I spent a lovely day at Sneaton Castle on Friday for the lovely wedding of Paul & Bethany.

It was my first time at the castle and I must say, I was hugely impressed. What an incredible venue with a great chapel & stunning grounds.

Was great to catch up with some familia faces that I haven’t seen for a while.

It was a beautiful service for the two of them & a true honour and privilege to be the one they chose to photograph their special day.

A lovely surprise for the groom with Dave flying in from Australia to take on best man duties starting proceedings perfectly.

A lovely ceremony was followed by a beautiful location shoot out at Hackness before we all went to the stunning Stepney Farm

Lovely day yesterday spent with Michael & Claire at The Old Swan in Harrogate. The weather was not on our side but we did manage to get a little break in the rain to allow us outside for some pictures.

I’ve looked forward to the wedding of Jordan & Emma from the moment her message dropped in my inbox to tell me they had set a date. To be the one they wanted to capture their special day & be by their sides all day was an honour and complete privilege. It’s not easy to keep your professional head on when it’s your cousin getting married & you have the best view in the ceremony!!!

Emma you looked like a real princess!!

Jordan’s speech blew me away! Hands down my favourite of the year. But the way Emma looked at him throughout that speech spoke to me just as much.

I honestly can’t thank you enough for choosing me to capture your big day & I can’t wait to start editing your pictures properly.

This summer has been so busy with weddings for myself & there is no sign of slowing down as we come out of summer into autumn. A Sunday wedding yesterday for this lovely couple.

Tom & Rebecca had a surprise up their sleeves yesterday, inviting their guests to their daughters christening but coupled it with their wedding too.

A lovely surprise for everyone there and an absolute pleasure for me to photograph.

Rebecca had suggested taking some pictures in some fields for their location shoot and The Abbey Lane is as good as anywhere around Whitby.
