Meet Summer & Company ~ Fearless Equine Stunts!

Summer Boyd and her family have a horse and cattle ranch in Lovington, NM. She’s been Trick riding for 11 years and has taught her two young daughters.

Emmie (9) and Jinsen (6) are the youngest members of the PRCA, but you’d never know it by the difficult tricks they perform.

These two little girls, along with their mom, travel across the US with their equine athlete partners, working to keep Trick riding alive in the next generation.

Fun fact: the Women's Professional Rodeo Association or the WPRA (formerly known as the Girls Rodeo Association) is the longest standing female sports organization in the country!

Women have worked and roped on ranches for centuries alongside their male counterparts. Breakaway Roping became an event through the WPRA in 1974. It has grown in popularity in recent years when professional rodeos and the American Rodeo added breakaway and the National Finals of Breakaway Roping was Established.
