April Rain has been teaching Chinese dance in Austin for more than 10 years. We teach a variety of Chinese dances: Chinese classical, Chinese Ballet and contemporary, and mostly Chinese folk dances. Each one of them has their own culture and unique style of music and dance. Learning Chinese folk dances is not only to enjoy their beauty but also to learn Chinese culture in a fun way. Meanwhile the

body training in dance enhances the development of fine and gross motor skills as children run, skip, leap, stretch, coordinate, isolate and move to the music. Chinese dance is for everyone and not just Asian girls. Recently we added Mandarin program in south Austin, we offer bilingual Mandarin lesson (no previous Chinese background needed) and Mandarin lesson for kids with Chinese background. Our classes are small, kids learn Chinese language through well designed curriculum. They not only learn the language, but also have full exposure to Chinese culture.

Chinese Classical dance camp. We introduced the history of the three kingdoms, and the red cliff. The kids made have of the sword dance by themselves. The other prop is fan. They have lots of fun!
