This Saturday will be our last movie night of the season Presented by our friends at Starry. We will be celebrating 30 years of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. We will be playing the 1990 original live action movie. Bring the whole family out for a Movie under the Stars. As always our movie nights are free. Movie will begin at dusk.

As the season draws to a closer to the end, there are still several exceptional shows to look forward to. This evening, we have the pleasure of hosting two renowned country artists on the Devon stage: Easton Corbin and Eli Young Band, who will undoubtedly keep you entertained with a night filled with their greatest hits. Weather Update 6:15pm.

We are still on standby. Looks like the rain is letting up but we have to wait until the lightning is out of the area. This is for your safety and the safety of our staff. We are working on drying off the stage. We will create a post before we open doors for this evening.

UPDATE*

Both bands are in town and ready for a great show tonight. As of right now we continue to stay in touch with the weather service and have every hope of getting the show in tonight. We do expect some rain so please come prepared. Reminder, we do not allow umbrellas in our venue. You can bring a rain jacket or poncho. If you do not have a poncho one can be purchased at the box office for $5.00. Due to the chances of rain the tents over the front of house mixers will not come down so please plan on sitting where you can see the stage while the tents are up.

We are excited to have Badflower with Special Guest DES ROCS in town for tonight’s show. It does look like we have some pretty high chances of rain this evening. Please keep an eye out here on Facebook for weather updates as we know more we will share them with you. Should times be changed for anything this evening we will send an email out to all ticket holders. We have our fingers crossed that we will be able to get a great show in this evening. Although we do not have Jack Russell’s Great White in town tomorrow we have the guys that played with Jack Russell and created so many great hits with Great White. Tomorrow I’m sure will be a very bitter sweet day as they take the stage the first time since they lost their friend and former band mate. Please keep the Russell family in your thoughts and prayers. Summer lives here!

The Devon G. Buffett Amphitheater is owned and operated by the Decatur Park District and was made possible by a generous donation from the Howard G. Buffett Foundation. The venue’s name is in honor of Howard G. Buffett’s wife, Devon and is referred to as The Devon Lakeshore Amphitheater. Construction began in 2018 and the venue opened to the public on May 24, 2019.

The venue sits along the shore of Lake Decatur as part of Lakeshore Landing nestled inside historic Nelson Park. With a capacity of nearly 4,000, the venue offers views of the Lake from nearly every seat or viewing area. The Devon’s first season will operate through September 2019 and will offer a wide range of entertainment. The goal is to offer something for everyone with a line-up that will feature music of many genres, comedians, big bands, movie nights, family themed entertainment and more.

We hope to see you at The Devon Lakeshore Amphitheater this season.
