Asking prayers for my friend and gospel musician extrordinaire, who has been taken off life support after several abdominal surgeries in the last couple weeks. She really enlivened worship at Central United Methodist Church, and loved playing and singing during the intermission for Merry TubaChristmas each year. Wishing you are peaceful transition my friend. Gonna miss you so much, but the celestial choir is getting a major boost in talent very soon!!! (Bobbi is in the middle below).

My friend G.R. Davis, first conductor of Merry Merry Tubachristmas-Detroit came home from the hospital Thursday night His wife is caring for him, especially giving him antibiotics to finish off the infection. No visitors for now, but great news that he has progressed this far!!! Onward and upward!!!

Asking for your prayers for G.R. Davis, who helped me start Detroit's Merry TubaChristmas 14 years ago, and came up from Nashville on his own dime for four years to be our conductor. He was rushed to the hospital in Nashville on Friday with a possible stroke. That was ruled out but he has sepsis, but last I heard that had not figured out its origin or figured out how to effectively treat it. He also plays stand-up bass, and is just an amazing, all-around great guy. I'm sending all the positive energy his way that I can and hope you do too!---- Jim Bull

I'd say post your photo of 2023 MTC, but I see you don't have that option. Send them to me at [email protected]. Or share them to my personal page and then I can easily share them with the webpage (that's how I shared the one already there from this year. --Jim Bull
