Motorcycles on Meridian is BACK!

Join us on August 28 from 2-10 p.m. for Downtown Indy, Inc.’s Motorcycles on Meridian Presented by Indianapolis Southside Harley-Davidson. Bikers will park around Monument Circle, South Meridian Street and Georgia Street and bring life to their surrounding bars, restaurants and retail spaces. Spectators are welcome to come and check out the motorcycles on display.

For the first time ever, Motorcycles on Meridian will have its very own Pocket Guide! Thunder Roads Indiana will be producing a informative guide that includes maps of the MoM event, downtown Indianapolis and the 465 loop area. This guide will also include information and advertising from participating MoM sponsors including specials they will be having during the event weekend so visitors can enjoy what Indianapolis has to offer during the Motorcycles on Meridian weekend.
The MoM Pocket Guide will be included in our regular Thunder Roads Indiana monthly August issue distribution throughout the state plus at most major restaurant, bar and lodging locations around the MoM event site in downtown Indianapolis.

Going to try and answer a few questions that have come up in the last 24 hours since the announcement...
Yes the event is scheduled for one day (Saturday) August the 27th instead of two in the past. Due to thousands of employees working in the downtown area on Friday, it had always been a challenge and a nightmare for those people to navigate Meridian and adjoining streets being closed at 4pm and getting home. So this year motorcycles will be welcome downtown on Friday afternoon/evening but Meridian will not be closed and all parking will have to be done in legal parking locations. Some vending will be set up for Friday afternoon/evening for those wanting to get a jump on the event and those just wanting to enjoy downtown Indy.
We are working with Downtown Indy, ABATE and others to get the Saturday event started earlier than before thus enabling riders with busy schedules to have a better opportunity to fit Motorcycles on Meridian into their plans. When we know more we will inform you of the details.
Any vending questions or opportunities MUST be directed to Downtown Indy 317-237-2222.
For the first time in 8 years, Motorcycles on Meridian will have official swag and souvenirs available at multiple locations on site. Previously only IMS Red Bull GP items were the only souvenirs available.
