Hello Friends,
After months of relative hibernation, MOSAIC is back, and now has a dedicated space to call home. To celebrate and launch this new season of life as a creative force in Lancaster City, MOSAIC will welcome Denison Witmer to our stage on November 2 at 51 Market St. Lancaster, PA 17602.
Denison Witmer is a native of Lancaster, but now calls Philadelphia home. His latest album, entitled Denison Witmer, was recently released on Asthmatic Kitty, and finds him newly rooted in more ways than one. He finds himself surrounded by old friends and collaborators Sufjan Stevens and Rosie Thomas at Asthmatic Kitty, as well as easing into life as a father for the first time. Paste magazine glows about the album saying, “Witmer continues to build upon the progress he’s made over his 15-year career as a superb songwriter, and with the subtle yet decisive arrangements he lays the perfect bed for his lyrics to shine…. If you’re looking for something quietly magnificent and uplifting, then you may have found it.”
Rolling Stone magazine once called Denison their “favorite underrated songwriter.” The intimate listening room setting of MOSAIC’s new stage and space at 51 Market St. will be perfect setting to discover and appreciate Denison’s craft.
Jake Lewis and the Clergy will also take the MOSAIC stage on November 2. Jake and his band, The Clergy, have been working hard and putting the miles to play his simple, rich, affecting and unpretentious songs for diverse audiences. On the heels of the release of the full length album Gossip, Jake Lewis and the Clergy will round out November 2 beautifully.
November 2nd will be an evening of high caliber songwriting in a new and unique performance space. Join Denison, Jake, and the MOSAIC creative family for a special evening.
