If you ever wondered what a "slow" time looks like for Steep and Thorny creative directors Myrrh Larsen and Megan Skye Hale is, here's what we have going on during our "summer break" even without running a venue full time:

Construction, plumbing, and electrical work at our new rehearsal and development space.

Booking, playbook, and promotion for our next Night Carnival and LARP hybrid on September 21st.

Planning and pre-production for Myrrh's next Song Saga show At The End of Everything coming in November/December this year.

Pre-production for Speculative Drama's annual one-hour Macbeth, Upon This Blasted Heath going up Halloween day at Director Park.

Planning the re-launch of our artists residency program, slated to begin next January.

Venue search and planning stages of Speculative Drama's next movement play for spring 2025.

Early stages planning and venue talks for a co-production immersive Shakespeare show with Portland Center Stage set for summer 2025.

Working on a show schedule/lineup for our 2025 Night Carnival series.

Oh wow. that...ummm....is a lot. ;P

A huge thank you to everyone who helped with our move to a new rehearsal and development space, both with your strong hands carrying items and your strong hearts donating to our recovery efforts!

We are settling in, getting work done, hiring contractors, and making the slow progress of unpacking, testing, and seeing what of our equipment and soft goods are salvageable after the sprinkler pipe disaster in January.

We're not going anywhere and will continue to be creating work and bringing you all the high quality performing arts that you know and love, including a new Night Carnival this fall/winter, a brand new Myrrh Larsen Song Saga, and our next Speculative Drama movement play!

We've also got big news! While we still need to raise about $32,000 to cover all of our recovery costs, not only are direct donations and gofundme donations tax deductible, but we're now offering a COMMISSION MENU!

Check out the items below and please feel free to share this image far and wide. Every little bit helps!

Just a reminder that we are still running our gofundme!

We have a little over a quarter of our full rexovery amount so far, and we're in it for the long haul. Every little amount helps us recover quicker, even if we never make the full amount!

We know raising these kinds of funds may take months or years, and we're prepared for that with budgeting plans and a sustainability map.
