On February 7, 2024, Moldova President Maia Sandu presented the title of "People's Artist" to Alexander Paley. Said President Sandu, “I am glad that, having made a very successful international career, the artist remains tied to Moldova, the place where he was born and where he was formed from a musical point of view, and [that he has] for many years promoted the music of composers of Moldova.” Congratulations, Sasha! Pictures show Alexander Paley with the brevet and medal, and together with Peiwen Chen, his wife and fellow musician.
