Hey Soulful Kitchen family!

What can I say? I’m still pursuing my second degree at 41. I’m happy to announce that I’m taking an online class through Escoffier School of Culinary Arts. To be honest, it’s the best approach while managing two businesses.

I’ve always moved to the beat of my own drum. This gives me the flexibility to work at my own pace. Graduation is set for 2025.

Thank you all for following along, and get ready to watch my life transform. Still manifesting my dreams.

Taste of Hope is Thursday! Registration opens at 5:15 and the program begins at 6pm. The event features tastings from 16 local chefs and restaurants and live music from Pat McKillen. We look forward to seeing everyone!

I enjoyed the new members' luncheon at NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners).

I made many great connections and met a celebrity chef. It was wonderful to see businesswomen in the construction industry from Granger, Indiana.

Culinary arts is one of the many gifts I possess. I am grateful to God for bringing me one step closer! I am a finalist for the 'Up and Coming Woman of the Year' award from the Influential Women Of Northwest Indiana.

Yes indeed, I am coming in full force and flying high. My artistry lies in cooking and creating beautiful dishes for everyone, whether wealthy or poor.

My gift is making room for me!

I received my certificate in Culinary Arts! Although I already have an Associate of Applied Science degree in Hospitality Administration and a Certificate in Hospitality Management, this certificate in Culinary Arts means so much to me.

I made the decision to go back to school while managing two thriving businesses. I must be honest, it was extremely hard, but I did it for self-validation.

The best of both worlds: fighting hunger from a culinary perspective! Attending the Catalyst Kitchen Midwest Summit.

Second day in Chicago on a short business trip. I visited The Inspiration Kitchens on the west side of Chicago. Check out their flyer below. I’ve connected with organizations that fight hunger through culinary arts all around the world.

I also visited some amazing restaurants such as The Girl and the Goat, Momentum Coffee, and Chicago Winery!! We took a tour through the Chicago Winery, and I enjoyed their food and some of the non-alcoholic drinks!! Yes, we were the odd balls in the room 🤷🏽‍♀️😂

The National Restaurant Association show had the most beautiful catering equipment 😍 I must have it!!!

Reflecting on my career, I recall how desperately I wanted a mentor in the food industry. Unfortunately, I encountered more people who criticized or disrespected my profession and product.

But all is well... God began giving me instructions on what to do. Though I still have much to learn and grow, I'm grateful to be able to mentor multiple foodies. It's truly an honor!
